"Great place! I stopped by to try some empanadas and opted for the beef, malbec beef, and chorizo. The chorizo was my favorite; it had a lot more flavor than the other two, so I’d give it a 9.0. The beef was a close second, but it was a bit dry. After adding some chimichurri sauce, it improved significantly, so I’d rate it 7.9. The malbec beef was different, and I’d give it a 7.0. I've had better empanadas elsewhere, but overall, the atmosphere here is relaxing, and they serve good coffee as well. I'd rate the place a solid 7.5."

The restaurant was mostly deserted since it was late at night, but the empanadas were really tasty. My friend and I particularly loved the banana Nutella flavor. View menu

It was decent, but not outstanding. The beef empanada was slightly dry, while the chorizo patatas bravas had more flavor but still felt like it was lacking something.

Empanadas aren't the best but ok,Customer service is terrible, you can be there waiting 5 minutes and NO one goes to take your order unless you knock on counter and they give you ATTITUDE!!Not friendly! Won't go back.

I absolutely adore the staff here! They are incredibly friendly and assist you in choosing the empanadas you want. While espresso isn’t my personal favorite, my friends, who are fans of it, highly recommend theirs. I really enjoy the overall experience! View menu

I found the customer service and atmosphere to be quite enjoyable. As for the food, it seemed more like a place for a quick snack rather than a full meal. If you're really hungry and looking to satisfy your appetite, this may not be the best choice. However, the prices are reasonable.

So good! I enjoyed a handful of different empanadas when they had their food truck at the Logan Square Arts Festival. The Malbec Beef is a must-try! I also really enjoy the bacon, dates, and goat cheese as well as the macaroni and cheese.Vegan and vegetarian options are available too! And their chimichurri is SO good!

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
