"that was my first time to eat here. my daughter and I had a great dinner the menu is quite small, but expertly made. we would like to try to plan what we order, but at the arrival some of the elements on the menu that had seen online changed. what we have ordered were the fries and feta, fattyuccine alfredo with grilled **** and garnelen scampi. the portions were very good. we had to bring the majority of our main course home! they love the outside seats the hostess was very pleasant. there was also a live music on the street and so we had a little music while we enjoyed our meals in the free tonight!"

Very good! A bit expensive but large portions, I'd say it's worth it. I had the chicken parm and it was fantastic! Great service, kind people.

Greek fries were tasty. Greek salad was just ok. Basically all arugula and hardly and grilled chicken.Service was very slow. They weren’t that busy. View menu

Hadn’t been there in 5yrs (since daughter graduated SUNY Plattsburgh).Still a good go-to place when nearby. I very much enjoyed the Lebanese style gyro sandwich on their menu. Don’t remember trying it before…

as the name suggests, a local Greek eatery.. had sangria to share and the usual Greek fare such as the gyro... surprised that the place was pretty busy on a Memorial Day afternoon and the staff was pretty busy but attentive... definitely recommended if you were in the mood for gyro

We had a terrible experience last night.with only four people in there it was not busy so after writing down our order I was brought the wrong food.next the draft beer was so warm I couldn’t drink it and lastly my wife and I have been sick since the middle of the night after eating there.not going back anytime soon View menu

I saw some of the other reviews for this place. I don't know what happened, but I never got food poisoning from here or bad service. eating is always good and her sangria is delicious. the falafel salat is my favourite dish, but everything is delicious and there is not so much garlic. Many of the places in plattsburgh do not taste authentic, but this is probably the only place that actually makes the art and wise how it supposed to taste.

I came here for a date and was pleasantly surprised. we had luck in our timing and could sit quickly. the service was convenient and polite. the menu was a little small, but perfectly satisfactory. the prices were a little on the high side, but I can't complain for the quality of the food that tasted well and came into punctual portions. the only disadvantages are to fill it quickly and sit places can not be available, and there were a few small pieces of discarded equipment and other different items that could possibly ruin the atmosphere. the table we sat on could have been wiped off better.

"I 'm disabled, in a power wheelchair, and this place... listed as handicap-accessible... was a destination for me during my visit to Plattsburgh. Getting in the door was the first problem: While there was a ramp up to the entrance, the threshold was a bit high and caused my chair to jump over it. Once inside, I noticed that it was very loud... like a subway platform at rush hour. In my 72 years I 've been in a lot of diners and restaurants, and this was the loudest I 've been in. It took quite a while to place my order after I was seated at a table I could roll up to. I noticed that the bathrooms were not accessible to my chair, the doors needed to be easy-open and at least 36 wide for ADA. I need to be able to turn around inside the bathroom. When the food arrived, it was good enough, and decent quantities. But, and something that turned me off, was that the meal was served on plastic plates, plastic bowls, plastic coffee cups. The utensils were at least metal. The only thing worse for me at any diner is to find them serving hot coffee in paper cups. Plastic chemicals can leech into hot foods. After my meal, it took a long time to get the staff 's attention to get my check. I gave up on asking for an extra napkin, and took one from another table. I really wanted to like this place... I love stopping at diners and smaller restaurants like this. But I can 't recommend the Hungry Bear. I visited Monday, July 16th, about 8:00 AM."
