"Food generally is ok to good between a 3 and a 4, the chicken my wife ordered was flat and dry like need a sip of water after every bite dry.My Philly cheese steak was a 4/5 very good the rest of our family enjoyed their Steaks, cooked to their desired doneness, and very accurate.The atmosphere it's mostly old and or Ricketts tables. I'm a very tall man the tables and chairs are uncomfortable for me but the decor of the restaurant other than the old booths and wobbly tables is very nice.SERVICE WAS AWSOME! we had a table of 17 and our orders came out within 20 or so mins witch is pretty good in my book.Our waitress was very polite and accommodating"

Stopped in here with my bro after work today. The food was totally on point. Best steak I've had in awhile. The server was polite and did his job well. (Shout out to a guy named Nate. The ambiance of the place could use some refreshing since I've known the place to always look the same since way back when it was called something else. But I didn't go there to dwell on the decorations. I went to have a steak. And a damn fine steak it was. View menu

The bacon cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese was incredibly delicious! It's the best burger I've had here in Ridgecrest. The juicy steak patty was cooked to a perfect medium. The burger was topped with just the right amount of fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, adding a nice crisp crunch. I opted for onion rings as a side, and they were a great alternative to French fries. I will definitely return to try out the other burgers on the menu!

Ales Steakhouse is ok, but not outstanding. Their steaks, which should be their signature dish, are frequently full of gristle and are unchewable. Their side dishes, especislly the sautéed mushrooms are really good. The service is not up to par, prinatily because they are understaffed and can't fill orders in a timely manner. Refills on drinks, including water, are slow and requests for extra napkins or salt and pepper frequently go unheard. The restaurant needs improvement in several areas. I was generous in giving 4 stars instead of 3.
