"This is the best Thai restaurant I’ve been to in the East Bay. So I and my friends keep coming back. The dishes are really well done, and the portions are quite good too. While, it can get a little noisy when it’s full, most of the time it’s OK. I particularly love the corn cheese fritters, the jumbo garlic, shrimp, the exquisite, coconut soup, and the ginger dish. "I have taken several meat eaters to this restaurant and everyone agrees that Tane (also known as Shizen in SF) is a perfect 10 out of 10. My top picks are the Pacifica and Sunset rolls. The Sweet Potato roll is also delightful and more affordable. I do wish they offered some rotating specials though. It seems like the menu has remained the same for the past five years, including at Shizen, which has been operating for even longer but offers the same dishes under different names."

"We had previously tried the banh mi and egg rolls from PhoSho Dough and were impressed by the quality, so we felt confident in choosing them to cater for our special day. The crispy egg rolls, made with chicken instead of pork, were a highlight due to their generous size. Our guests also loved the variety of banh mi options and the flavorful vermicelli bowls. Richard from PhoSho Dough was extremely communicative and made sure everything was clear and organized throughout the catering process. Even though this was their first time handling wedding drop-off catering, they far exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend PhoSho Dough for catering events of any size, as they provide authentic and delicious Vietnamese cuisine with a personal touch. "I ordered the fried chicken plate, and I'm not sure if coating the chicken in flour before frying is what people typically expect from fried chicken. They attempted an Asian-inspired dish, but it ended up being bland and quite mediocre. The portion included two small pieces of chicken: a small drumstick and another small cut piece. Everything on the plate was overly oily— the rice, roasted carrots, and the spinach salad were all drenched in grease and lacked any vibrant flavors. Overall, it felt like a simple assortment of cooked ingredients rather than a well-executed dish."
