"What a wonderful experience! The sous chef kindly sent over a complimentary appetizer while we were deciding on our order, which was a lovely surprise. Every piece of sushi we had was exceptional! The seaweed salad, house salad, and miso soup were also outstanding. I only managed to take one photo, but it showcased how good the food looked as well as how delicious it tasted! The chef even brought out a new dish for us to try—it was mushrooms in barbecue sauce, and it was fantastic! We will definitely be returning. The staff were all very friendly, and the quality of the food was top-notch. We ordered tamago, and my daughter, who lived in Japan for some time, remarked that it tasted very authentic. I highly recommend this restaurant! (The owner is currently waiting for their liquor license, if that’s something you care about.) Update: We continue to visit and enjoy the food! I've added two more photos from our recent lunch visit."

"About 15 minutes later, she returned again to apologize, saying that there was only enough perch for one order. So, we all adjusted our orders. After an additional 25 minutes, our food finally arrived, and it was indeed good. While we were pleased with the meal, I did think a small discount might have been appropriate considering the inconvenience. This was our first hiccup here, and we usually love this place."

"I’m giving the Star Diner a full 5 stars! This was my first visit, even though I’ve lived here my whole life. We were seated quickly, and the staff was very friendly. The interior was smaller than I expected, which made it feel a bit cramped. However, I forgot all about that once the food arrived. The portions were generous, and the home fries were fantastic. Everything was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place!"

"The restaurant was quite good overall. The pacing of the meal was just right; we never felt rushed, nor did we have to wait long between courses. Although the portions were on the smaller side, I didn't leave feeling hungry. My girlfriend ordered the filet of beef, which was excellent—delicate and full of flavor. I chose the lobster, but unfortunately, mine arrived at the table completely submerged, with the tail still partially raw. I sent it back immediately, and the chef prepared a second lobster for me. At $55 for an eight-ounce lobster, I expected the chef to recognize that serving raw lobster is unacceptable. The second lobster came out better, but it still seemed slightly undercooked. I'm not sure how lobsters are typically prepared in Europe, but I just can't manage to eat lobster that isn’t fully cooked."
