"I visited today to inquire about joining, and I had an unpleasant experience. The young woman behind the bar was quite rude and didn’t even know what a DD214 was. She mentioned it was some kind of form with a "D" and numbers. When I asked if we could stay and eat, she replied, “I guess so, but I won’t serve you anything to drink.” I showed her my retired military ID after serving for 34 years, and her response was simply, “So.” At that point, we decided to leave. Great job, AmVet. Please remove the sign out front that claims you support our troops. CWO Wayne Conway, Retired."

Ordered perch dinner served with fries and coleslaw. Coleslaw bitter and didn't eat it. Perch was ok. Also, we ordered fish tail sandwich. The top of the sandwich was missing. Never saw it. Fish not bad but wanted a sandwich. View menu

I'm a scout sniper with the Marine Corps' special forces, and I visited this restaurant over a year ago but was turned away because I didn't have my DD214 with me. While I don't carry that document around, I'm curious about how many of the regular customers are veterans benefiting from a business that seems to thrive on the sacrifices of veterans. They also deleted my previous comment. Food: 1.

I visited a restaurant on Friday night for their all-you-can-eat fish special, which came with fries and coleslaw. The fish consisted of small filets that were fried to a perfect crisp, and I enjoyed eight of them! The fries were excellent, and the coleslaw was surprisingly better than average. The waitstaff was working hard to keep up with the busy crowd. Overall, it was a great experience—the beer was cold, and the people were friendly. Just a heads-up: this is a private club, so you'll need to be a member or a guest of a member to visit.
