"I was told they can't order via the phone unless they give their credit card number on the phone. they also do not use any delivery apps or have a website. I was also told that if I came in and paid in cash, it would take 5 minutes to prepare a plate. I'm waiting for 27 minutes. obviously they have to deal first with telephone calls that has no sense because I called 3min before the arrival, what I have proved. (I live 4 blocks away) the ribs were tender and very good. the wings taste like carton with charcoal. Mac cheese was very salty and dry. their greens taste as if they were where microshaft. Maybe a slow day. P.S. I don't think I would have written this review if it wasn't for the very angry Deekin woman who answered the phone and sits on the front. She has no customer service and seems unhappy with her angry Deekin job."

I was pleasantly surprised that everything tasted great. the mac n cheese was made like my mother. the collar had just enough edgy in them and the pulled pork was crushed!

Got the full rack of pork ribs which were great and sides of Mac n cheese, baked beans, collard greens, and cornbread. We got 2 of each side for 4 people to share which worked out pretty well. My only complaints are that the cornbread was a little dry and the Mac n cheese was way too salty. View menu

I got there on a Saturday at 4pm when they first opened. My family told me about the spot, so I figured I'd try it myself. I was not disappointed. Even though they didn't have Beef ribs, I decided to get a pork rib platter. The ribs were fall off the bone good, along with Mac n collards which tasted homemade. It's a must visit.

Couldn't even get to the food because of the poor phone experience. Can't eat white bread, we are allergic and the person on the phone refused to substitute it for something else in the platter. Also refused the request to have it subbed out for a sandwich in place of the pulled pork and white bread. This is nonsensical. It's not even the pricing, or the food, its the service.

First time eating here! I had been driving around Philly all day and people everywhere were having cook outs I kept smelling bbq. It made me want bbq. So I googled some places I had not been before. So I land here! My lucky day. My brisket was was so tender it just melted in my mouth not to mention all the juices and flavor I was tasting. I also had potato salad, baked beans and blueberry corn bread. Absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back here!!! View menu

very nice and helpful people at the front. Although they do not want the brisket on my sandwich (all sweat.) the sandwich was phenomenal as well as the hot BBQ sauce they gave up. they first asked what is always a plus. the flesh was juicy, tender, with something fat that was not overwhelming. beautiful brioche back with light toast. the mac was also good. I like my creamy, but the taste was there. I'd go back there. the prizes were a lil up there, but they get what they pay.

When I tell this was some of the best food I’ve tasted in a long time!!!!! I’ve never had Mac n cheese at a restaurant that tasted that good. We had pork ribs that were falling off the bone, the greens were so delicious and the brisket sandwich had so much meat and was so tasty that it did not need the bbq sauce that it came with. Somebody’s mama was definitely back in that kitchen cooking cause everything tasted homemade and delicious. This was well worth the trip from Montgomery Co., Maryland.

"Fantastic neighborhood gem. Food was flavorful, cozy, inviting, and fun. Not fussy or arrogant, but cooked with love, execution, and straight from the heart. My favorite was the Burrata dish, a cold cheese dish with the seductively sumptuous balsamic glaze and the best thinsliced prosciutto I ever had thankfully not too salty as it was packed with flavor. The bread was fantastic for mopping up the rich tomato based seafood app.My wife and I loved the seafood spaghetti dish, although the dark brown think buckwheat spaghetti surprised us at first. The rich white wine broth and clams were fantastic, but the noodles were perplexing and intriguing and fantastic!. The whole wheat made it seem like it might be tough but it was smooth and chewy, while still hearty. And yet it almost felt too soft and about melt, although there was a firm elasticity to it! The scallops risotto was rich and decadent. Temp was good. The service was good, the outdoor ambience was wonderful, the napkin's bluegray hue resonated with my wife, and the plates were gorgeous.Overall, it was excellent and worthy of going back and recommending to friends and family. The meal may not have been technically flawless the delicious octopus could stand to be grilled or cooked a tad longer, but it was still perfectly authentic, heartfelt, and admirably executed. It straddled the fine line between elevatedelegant and homey. It accomplished what it set out to do and delivered on what one would expect! We live outside the city, so we won't be able to visit often, which may be good, because this is such a fine neighborhood establishment—if I lived nearby, I'd definitely be in danger of blowing my monthly dining budget"
