Arepa’s Place - Menu

I got a beef empanada and the black beans as a side. Really good and flavorful. Not fast food. Worth the small wait.

The food is good, but my experience with the young server was extremely disappointing. The service was quite poor on his part.

The best food you can get in Southeast Wisconsin, let alone the mall food court. This place is legit. Milwaukeeans unite and keep this place in business, this place is awesome!

If I could give more stars I would. The food here is second to none! How they don't have a stand alone restaurant is beyond me. The food, variety and MOST IMPORTANT.... THE FLAVOR... Oh the flavor.... I just simply can't say enough good things.

Overall, the experience at the restaurant was positive. The Pabellon Criollo Bowl was filling, though the carnitas could have been more moist. The Pabellon arepa was tasty, especially with the delicious sauce it was served with. The Torta Tres Leches was outstanding, but I wished for a larger portion as it was quite small. We waited so long for someone to acknowledge us. I would say about 15mins. When we were finally acknowledged, young looking kid comes from the back with red puffy eyes (high) greets us with a loud rude YO! Then waves his hands at me with the montion to hurry up. All while scratching his head. This was very rude and disappointing. Definitely will never be returning. Zero customer service skills. Do better for future customers. I wish I could leave a negative rating.

Waited a long time for someone to acknowledge my family and I, there was no one else in line but us… on top of that the young kid that came out SUPER RED EYES AS IF HE WAS HIGH!!!! Then finally greeted us rudely and said “YO!” And waved his at hand in a way that was for us to hurry up! And for the cherry on top he started scratching his hair!!!! It was the young kid working late with the very big curly hair! Super disappointed was excited to try the food but he made the place just seem low quality and dirty. He didn’t even wash his hands after scratching his hair!

The Rumbera was incredibly tasty. I requested no avocado and the staff had no problem accommodating my request. I believe I chose the house sauce, which was also very good, although I didn't end up using much of it because the rumbera was so delicious on its own. The Fried Arepitas were also amazing, and I couldn't even finish them because they were so filling. Lastly, I tried the Papelon with Lemon and it was absolutely delicious – I definitely need more of that drink. The only reasons I didn't give 5 stars were that there was no ice in my drink, making it warm, and the cheese in the Fried Arepitas wasn't fully melted, giving it a slightly rubbery texture.
