"This Chinese restaurant located in the Rutgers community is a popular spot for takeout and dine-in options. It has a cozy, hole-in-the-wall atmosphere that stays true to its roots. I have known the owner for some time and have been a regular since 2010. The food is decent in quality, taste, and affordability. Parking options are limited to street parking and metered parking, with the possibility of finding a parking lot with metered parking or a kiosk to pay. It is a family-owned business and offers a pretty authentic experience. The portion sizes are generous for the price and worth the money. The interior design is a bit old-fashioned with plenty of seating but no booths. The restaurant may be going for a Cantonese style look with the traditional chairs and tables. Their bubble tea selection is diverse with various flavors and styles available. The only downside is the lack of parking due to the busy Rutgers campus and downtown area."

Awesome food. However, when you order wings, MAKE SURE you check for the sauce because they'd forget it more than half the time.

The Chinese cuisine and ambiance at this restaurant are exceptional. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here, so I definitely plan on returning. The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere that is reminiscent of a cafe I enjoyed in Portland.

Love Love Love Love This Place! Cheap, high quality food; and they can say that they are good, especially because they can see older people constantly coming back! my suppe in this picture I was thinking $8, and the bok choy with garlic side (cheer! totally scratched my bok choy' itch was $5.75 definitely would recommend. directly on the street is surreal creamery, if they are looking for something sweet, they have decent offers on a blase tee (they have taro ice cream

Not the worst I have had, edible but not much more than that. The pork dumplings were okay but the dough was way too thick and there was only half the usual amount of dipping sauce in the cup. N13 Eggplant and Chicken Noodle in Garlic Sauce With Lo Mein was very bland. It had garlic and chili flakes and oil but no more flavoring than that. It was the first time I had this kind of dish and thought they may have skipped the soy sauce altogether. The veggies noodles and meat were cooked well, not overdone, but total lack of flavor killed it. And this *spicy dish was around 1 out of 10 on the spice meter.

"It’s a shame to post that the Chesapeake Inn is one of the best seafood places in the area. We dined there four times in last year and recently for the ALL YOU CAN EAT SHRIMP yet not until we left and saw the kitchen help eating the same special at the bar did we realize how sub par our serving was presented to us in comparison. Very shady. My suggestion is to eat in the dining rooms. The downside is the bar area is where the HAPPY HOUR specials are ordered and served which in turn results in smaller portions. And furthermore, when we asked the server for another serving of all you can eat shrimp to which he replied “ Is this your second or third helping of shrimp!” What does he care? Remember, it’s ALL YOU CAN EAT! It’s bar shrimp, medium at best and $26.99! There are no seconds on the SIDES. A pittance portion of vegetables and child’s portion of rice and the price for their frozen seafood is overwhelming for the underwhelming portions!! Never again! And those happy hour crab cakes need mayonnaise, more herbs and a LIFT in respect to their size and taste! It’s sad when restaurants add these useless garnishes/dry julienne cuts of unknown fresh veggies on my plate. Look at the pitiful stuffed shrimp! Nothing creative, all cheap plate props. That kale salad was plopped on the plate, $14! Do better, Chesapeake Tavern. Parking: The large parking lot serves three restaurants on that corner site"
