"HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Incredible chef! Amazing food! As a Cajun, I know GOOOD food when I see it. Chef is very talented. We were in town from Austin, TX for the HooDoo Mural/Music Festival a couple weeks ago... and this restaurant really did it for us!!!! We had the Chkn and Waffles, biscuits and gravy and a few other things. Wish I had more time to try the Jambalaya Red Beans and Rice!!! "With most restaurants in Amarillo now open at 100% capacity, this one is limited to a drive up window. The outside menu boards are very faded with most of the prices being unreadable. I pointed that out to the owner and he informed me that the menu is available online. In any case, the food and portions were still good for the price."

"Just had dinner at 585, and noticed the service has dwindled a bit. We observed one server eating behind the bar as she served customers . We noticed because we were sitting at the bar. The sever was also wrapping the silverware as she was taking in a spoon full a friends blizzard from Dairy Queen All being witnessed as they were both behind the bar. It is of course understood that employees take a break, so I would hope they have a break room for that. Redirection would benefit all!"

"I had just gotten off work and my husband took me to get some chicken fried steak here. I ordered some fried okra and jalapeño poppers as well and I was not disappointed at all! The customer service is really great I’m so happy that this place is in Amarillo. It is on the rougher part of town but I feel as if the food is top of the line and maybe a bit underrated. I will definitely be going back to eat here again. ? Thank you for the great food and experience! It isn’t as messy as the pictures I took, it was just that good that I had to eat some before I remembered to give a review. ?"
