"I 've lived across the street from this place for four years and finally got to try it out. IT WAS AMAZING! Service was fast and friendly. Multiple servers checked on us all the time and had everything refilled in a jiffy. They were truly wonderful. The crabs were AWESOME. They were plump, juicy and tasted so good. Super impressed with the quality. They had different levels of AYCE that included different items. We chose AYCE C which included clams and steamed shrimp along with MD crabs, hush puppies, cream of crab soup (for a upcharge) cornbread, fried clams, steamed clams, fried shrimp, steamed shrimp, French fries and corn on the cob. SO MUCH FOOD, and I loved every minute of it. The soup was sub-par but everything else was delicious. Their regular entrees looked decent and seemed like they had a wide selection. They had a bar inside Avery 's and also had outdoor seating on an upper deck. Will definitely be back!"

If I could give this a zero I would. The stuffed flounder was like eating salt and the stuffed part was all filler. The crab cake was mostly filler and tasteless along with the chicken Chesapeake. The floors were dirty. The hush puppies were good. Do not waste your time the prices are crazy for the lousy food.

Avery's went above and beyond to make sure that our experience was stellar. They were extremely accommodating and excellent service. The AYCE crabs are 100% worth it, the quality of the meat was juicy and amazing. Crab legs were just sliding out of the shell and full of flavor. Even the side dishes were perfect, hush puppies, corn, cornbread, all delicious. This is hands down the best place to have crabs even if you aren't going for AYCE. View menu

I have visited this restaurant twice now and have thoroughly enjoyed both experiences! Yesterday was my birthday and they accommodated changes in the number of guests seamlessly. The food was excellent. My sister and I ordered crabs, but not all of my friends did. One friend who is not a fan of seafood really enjoyed her pit beef sandwich. I did not ask my friend about his shrimp tacos, but they looked delicious. My other friends who ordered crabs loved them. The service was outstanding, with attentive staff who promptly responded to every request. The upstairs area has a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely be returning.

We went to Avery's to get our Maryland Blue Crab fix while visiting relatives in the area. The food is always great and the service excellent. So much so that our waitress Katie, literally gave me the shirt off her back! I liked the long sleeve Avery's tee shirt she was wearing asked about buying one. Katie said they only had the short sleeve shirts currently. She said the one she was wearing was from a few years back. Next thing I know, Katie was wearing a different Avery's shirt the one she was wearing was in a bag for me! Katie said she had several of the same at home she wanted me to have it. Katie said she hadn't worn it much with a wash would be good as new. Truly appreciate Katie goin...
