Typical homestyle cooking, nothing to be excited about, especially since they don't carry ranch dressing as a choice for salad or dipping sauce.

Absolutely one of the best catfish I've eaten. The service was good and cordial. My only issue was the music was a little too loud. Bit it is a great place to hang out with friends and family.

Vegetarian options are unavailable, and it's not the best choice for those with dietary restrictions since the offerings revolve solely around fried or smoked meat, alongside your drink and dessert options. Parking is limited; many nearby lots display "No parking for Babe's customers" signs and threaten towing. We frequently visit Babe's in Arlington, but our recent experience was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, there was no line and only a few tables occupied. It took the hostess, a lead waitress, and two other waitstaff about five minutes to decide where to seat us in this seemingly "busy" restaurant. They really made the process unnecessarily complicated. Eventually, a waiter led us to a dirty table that could accommodate eight people, despite the presence of cleaner tables more suitable for our party of two. Our family went to the Arlington, TX location last night for my moms birthday. The atmosphere service was excellent. My mom has been looking forward to getting her birthday chicken fried steak for months, literally. Unfortunately, when the meat portion came to our table everyone who ordered the chicken fried steak could not eat it, they stated that it tasted like old grease. The smoked chicken and the chicken strips were excellent as were all of the sides, salad bread. It was just a disappointment that my mom was unsatisfied with her birthday meal and we went home a little less happy with the establishment. The Wife and I were in Dallas recently for a concert and I wanted a place to eat that was close to the venue. You can't get much closer than Babe's. The show was at the Arlington Music Hall, and Babe's is, well, right next door. Tossed the keys to the theater valet and didn't look back. Great courtyard seating when weather permits (it didn't this trip), and the interior is just kitchsy as hell, in a delightful way. Menu is, well, short.
