The menu seemed nice, but we were served undercooked food on two plates- one being undercooked chicken. The server shined his cell phone flashlight on the plate and blamed the lighting, not doing anything about the undercooked chicken. The staff were inattentive in general and not timely with the food. We took our visiting family to this restaurant on a Wednesday evening for dinner. Our server, Brandon, was incredibly friendly and attentive. We ordered the stuffed chicken, pork chops, and the Monterey chicken sandwich, all of which were delicious, hot, and fresh. The fried pickles were fantastic! We also had a hard time choosing between the pecan pie, Key Lime pie, and chocolate cake — they were all excellent. The prices were lower than other local places, and the atmosphere was quiet and comfortable, making it a great choice for families or couples. The service was outstanding. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and professional. Unfortunately, the food was a different story. I ordered the steak burger and a baked potato, but the steak was nearly raw. I asked for it medium rare, but it was so tough that I could barely swallow it. The baked potato reminded me of gas station food that had been sitting in a warmer all day. On the bright side, my husband and son's meals were quite good. My husband had a burger and fries, while my son enjoyed the mac and cheese with fries, which were very tasty. I'm sorry to say that my experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. The service was extremely slow; our waitress was not attentive, even though she only had three tables to manage. She took one of our tea cups for a refill and disappeared for ten minutes! Meanwhile, she took a new customer's order at the bar while we had been waiting a full 15 minutes for her to take ours. When our food finally arrived, it was incorrect, but we didn't want to wait another 10-20 minutes for a side of tartar sauce or the correct potato toppings. I ALWAYS try to give them the benefit of the doubt , given I have worked in the food service I personally know how it can be sometimes. As for our visit here , we stopped by while on vacation , left very disappointed, will not be back definitely wouldn’t recommend this. Service is #1 always! We walked in through the main entrance , talked to one girl who said sit wherever you want , we’ll be right with you.
