"The Beach Shop Grill is the BEST restaurant on Topsail Island. Some reviewers have mentioned that it is expensive. I disagree. Our family eats out every night on vacation. We ate at BSG twice. Both meals cost around $56 for our family of 3. Compared to other meals that we ate like at Crabby Mike's and Mollie's which cost the same or more, the food at BSG was so much better. The shrimp and grits are amazing. We have vowed to eat there every night on our next vacation. That is how good it is!"

The previous review for this restaurant is outdated. The restaurant has gone through a series of renovations and is now well-furnished. My waiter provided excellent service. He was attentive and replenished beverages frequently.

We had breakfast with family, but unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. The waitress forgot one family member's drink for 10 minutes, made a mistake with another order, and had to redo it. She also neglected to bring part of one order and didn't deliver the toast until the end of the meal. To top it off, I found a long hair in one of my bites. Given the experience, I would never return and cannot recommend this place to anyone. View menu
