"Found this place on google. Seeing that I've lived in Dallas Texas for 10 years and have ate some of the most well respected places not only in Texas (Franklin's, Hutchins, Snows and Terry Blacks ect... but from Memphis to Kansas City and on and on. Not wanting to Bash a Black owned business but. Sorry no pics. I've been to Chicago several times as My Wife is from here. Never tried Chicago BBQ but wanted to give it a fair chance. She ordered a reg rib tip and I ordered ribs and brisket w/ fries. The ribs were like baby back ribs that he cut down the middle. So one ribs was 2. The meat was dry and crunchy almost fried. The rib tips were just as dry and sliced paper thin. I knew I was in trouble when the season was on the outside of the ribs. Definitely would give it a 1 out of 10. I ate one rib and trashed the rest. The brisket had absolutely no smoke and seemed to be streamed or boiled but not smoked. No flavor, no season and the fat on the slice wasn't even rendered (Try injecting the brisket . I spent 52.00 and all I can say is at least the fries were good and the drinks we had was cold. If you've had real BBQ from anywhere in America stay clear from here. I recommend the owner go out of state and get help on how cook BBQ. I can't believe he's been in business that long......By far the worst food I've ever had in Chicago. Not even close."

Nice staff. The links were my fav. Everything was very smoky, even the Mac which I wasn't crazy about. But the meats were very good.

Best smoked meat around. The meat was tender and smoked to perfection. The guy at the front who took my order was polite and extremely nice.

I had a really frustrating experience with a catering order. When I went to pick up the food, nothing was ready, which left me in a tough situation. I had to rush to find alternative arrangements for a charity event. Unfortunately, the customer service was lacking as well.

I was left scrambling to find an alternative for dinner at the last minute. Fortunately, I managed to find another BBQ place nearby that was able to prepare the same order in a shorter time frame and at a lower price. Clearly, I won't be ordering from here again. Customer experience is just as important as the food itself.

"The lunch menu is creatively hand-written on the wall above the ordering area, making it easy to see your options. To reach the counter, you walk past a delightful display of house-made salads and sides. After placing your order, you can choose any available table or booth, and a friendly server will bring your food to you. I found my meal to be both tasty and satisfying. I had a grilled ham and cheese sandwich paired with a broccoli salad. The sandwich was loaded with two or three kinds of cheese and juicy slices of ham. The broccoli salad was a pleasant surprise; it featured crunchy broccoli mixed with nuts (possibly walnuts), raisins, and a lightly sweet white dressing that I think was yogurt-based. I expected a savory dish, so this sweet twist was refreshing. On a subsequent visit for dinner, I tried the bruschetta chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables. Unlike lunch, dinner features table service, so you order your meal at the table. The bruschetta chicken was incredible—it was so flavorful that I could hardly focus on conversation with my dining companions, as I was completely absorbed in the taste of my dish. For dessert, the selection is limited to a few homemade treats that are prepared daily. We opted for the peanut butter and chocolate pie, which was impressive in its own right. It tasted like a rich, dense Reese’s cup but with even more chocolate. It’s become a treat I’m willing to drive the 50 miles to enjoy again. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my visits to Gibby's and look forward to returning in the future."
