I ordered the hamburger steak (without gravy), along with rice and steamed green beans, while my husband chose chicken and dumplings, steamed green beans, and mashed potatoes. The rolls were fantastic, boasting a comforting homestyle flavor and served with cinnamon honey butter. The white rice was simple but decent, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and tasted homemade. The chicken in the chicken and dumplings was shredded, though not overly so, and it came in a creamy sauce. **Cons:** Unfortunately, the steamed green beans lacked seasoning, and some were still cold in the middle. The chicken and dumplings were overly salty and could have used more seasoning—just a bit of pepper would have improved it. Additionally, I would not recommend the chicken and dumplings for those with gluten sensitivities. The hamburger steak was overcooked, dry, and lacked seasoning. The prices were quite high, especially considering the quality of the dishes we received. Overall, my experience was not terrible, but it certainly didn't meet expectations given the cost."

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is incredible, the owner and staff are so attentive and kind, and I had a great lunch. I could taste and feel NOLA in there. The cheesy chicken and rice was great!Food: 5/5

The food was so delicious. We had the blackened gator and cajun fries for 2. The tray was piled so high that we could not eat it all in one sitting. The staff were super friendly and the restaurant was decorated so cute and was really clean. We absolutely loved it!!!Food: 5/5

First time eating here while in town, service was amazing!!! Our waitress was extremely friendly and on top of her game. Food was Great. I had the Chicken breast that came with two sides, and husband had whodat cheesy chicken with Rice. Sweet tea was refreshing as well. Atmosphere Was peaceful and enjoy all the bayou decor.
