"Here’s my review: I won’t be returning to this restaurant. First off, the prices are a bit steep. The location is also quite small and feels overcrowded, especially while waiting for a takeout order. To make matters worse, not a single staff member was wearing gloves. At least they could pretend to be concerned about hygiene! I have half a mind to become a health inspector and start my own restaurant. The person who cut my pizza didn’t wear gloves either and had the audacity to handle my pizza with his bare hands to get a decent slice. He then turned around and served it to me as if I hadn’t noticed. Unfortunately, too many restaurants seem indifferent these days, and I was in a bind. I couldn’t finish the pizza, as the experience left me genuinely disturbed. There’s simply no reason for hands to come into contact with food like that. While I know some places may be worse, this shouldn’t be the norm! My concerns are completely valid, regardless of what anyone else thinks."

Pizza was great as it always is. We have never had a bad pizza from Beggars.

The sauce was poorly prepared, and the pepperoni had an average taste. There's nothing more to say.

I am not a fan of the new method of pre-wrapping individual pizza slices at this location. The pizza was cold and had a taste reminiscent of freezer burn, almost like it was a day old. As for the staff...

I really love Beggars Pizza; it's definitely one of my top five favorites. This location is just a few miles from me and conveniently along my route home from work. Despite that, I still find myself ordering from...

This charming neighborhood pizza joint is part of a well-known chain. The pizza is outstanding, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is inviting. You really can’t go wrong choosing this place for your pizza fix! View menu

I usually give this place a 4 or 5 star rating but this time I can't say that. I had to go there twice they still didn't get my order right. I was disappointed this time that makes me sad cause I usually love my Beggars!

Beggars is a classic in Chicago, and they certainly know how to deliver generous portions. I would say it's probably my favorite pizza on the South Side. You can't go wrong with either the Chicago-style thin crust or deep dish here.

"You ever miss, or want to experience, the classic American brunch? This place has been here forever, and this is THE place to go. Prices are completely fair for value, just about everything besides the milk is homemade, and the place feels like a well kept but storied family home (with a 200 capacity dining room). Me and my wife decided to try the place on a whim, and even on driving up we knew we were in for a treat. Outside looks straight from the 70s, but well maintained. Walk inside and you find a fridge with home crafted desserts, and a view that you only know if you've had a local family's brunch. To those local, think Keystone Cafe and Kingsberry. They're unfortunately gone though. Servers were friendly and attentive, but also relaxed and smiling. They've clearly been at this among friends for some time. The menu is diverse yet familiar, with clear names to items and nice puns here or there to give them identity. One big selling point is their house drinks (Non alcohol). They cone as an ENTIRE quart, and consist of homemade Lemonade with various mix ins. I got a Strawberry, and you could feel the fresh berry puree. Heavenly. Our main course was the Shepard's platter and the King Leonidas. Platter came with a fresh plate size pancake, with cooked red potatoes sautéed spinach 2 sunnyside eggs olives and fresh cut tomatoes. She ate half with ease, and only stopped at the potatoes because our Biscuits and Gravy filled us up first. I'm not southern, so I can't speak to how authentic they are, but we loved them. The King Leonidas is basically a Philly, but they did their own thing. Fresh chopped steak, olives, feta, cucumbers, red onions and lettuce on a toasted roll. I'm a Philly snob, but they didn't claim it to be one, and I was intrigued by the ingredients. It was love at first bite. Much leaner and more crisp than a true Philly, bread crisp and soft at the same time pairing perfectly with the well grilled steak and fresh veggies. Oh, and home cut onion rings with a thick crispy batter that means you don't need more than 4 or 5 to be happy. (AT NO UPCHARGE) I cannot recommend Country House Resturant enough. We will absolutely be returning and bringing as many friends as we can."

"Now you see it, then you don 't. I became acquainted with Top-Notch Beefburgers when they made an appearance on the Chicago 's Best television show. But that segment was all about Top-Notch 's restaurant in Oak Lawn. So what happened? Not long afterward, the Top-Notch in Oak Lawn closed because of dwindling sales. But the Top-Notch at 2116 West 95th Street in the Beverly neighborhood, between South Hoyne and South Hamilton, continues to produce a plethora of fresh and juicy and tasty sandwiches, including the quarter-pound beefburger with cheese, the quarter-pound turkey burger, the grilled chicken, the deluxe Mexican burger, the Italian sandwich with mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce and green pepper, the barbecue beef sandwich, the beef au jus, corned beef melt, grilled catfish, Reuben melt, grilled pork chops and home-made tuna sandwich. Wash it all down with a 24-ounce chocolate milk shake. Since the burgers attract most of the attention, the breakfast often is overlooked. That is a mistake. An egg with corned beef hash or a sausage links and egg sandwich or strawberry topped pancakes or two buttermilk pancakes with a large scrambled egg and sausage links is a great way to start a busy day. Nowadays, I prefer turkey to red meat. And Top-Notch 's turkey burger hits the spot with the house 's own seasoning, a slab of Mozzarella cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickle and a raw onion. Very moist and very healthy. Let 's hope the Beverly restaurant stays in business for as long as they can make turkey burgers."
