"I 'm continuing on my quest to find the best places for Peking Duck in the LA area. This came up on a Yelp search. This is my first time here. It 's on Valley Blvd. just east of Del Mar, on the south side of Valley. The ambiance/decor is very nice. Plenty of free parking in the back. I preordered one Peking duck the basic way $72.99), which is with just soup. When I called from my office at noon, I thought they said it would be ready at 1:00, so I got there at 12:50. It did not come out until 1:35. They said that they don 't cut it until you arrive, so it was supposed to be ready at 1:30 rather than 1:00. In any event, if you plan to have duck here and you 're on a schedule, call in advance to make sure they have some left, and have them be clear on when it will actually be served if it matters. When it finally did come out, the presentation is very nice. It comes on a wooden platter with BEIJING TASTY HOUSE ROAST DUCK inscribed on it. I actually wonder if the delay was because they only have so many platters to serve the duck on, and they had to wait for the party next to me to leave. The Peking duck comes with 8-10 pancakes, depending on how many stick together as a thick pancake. Extra pancakes are $5.99. The duck itself is a generous portion and was very good and delicately sliced. I don 't like the way the serve the cucumbers- they are not peeled and just roughly chopped. I prefer the way The Duck House peels and slices them into very thin strands. I also think that for a dish over $80 with the tax, they should use real silverware for the plum sauce. They used a plastic spoon which was weird with the very nice platter. The duck soup is enormous, beautiful and flavorful, with tofu and tender Napa cabbage along with the duck bones and skin. It is better than most duck soups that come with Peking duck. I 'll enjoy the soup as leftovers almost as much as the duck.I also ordered Beijing-style braised eggplant $15.99). It comes with ground pork. It was very flavorful and great on steamed rice. I also got the cucumber in garlic sauce $8.99). The cucumbers were a very generous portion but were just ok. I 'm editing my review after having the duck and soup leftovers for dinner. That soup is divine and I 'll be back for it. Changed my review from four to five stars. Here is their online menu: order.mealkeyway.com/cus…"

Overall, the food is quite flavorful. However, they don't serve tea or water automatically—you need to request it. The hot and sour soup was a bit too bland for my taste.

I get take out from them and love the beef sandwiches and a choy. Beef sandwiches have nice crisp to the bread with great flavor of beef. I also love their eggplant dish. The texture and flavor always good. Everything I have gotten has been spot on.

Great taste as Beijing taste. Love the Spinach Peanut Sep, Silicon Pancake Soak While fish, roasted fish, Sizzling BBQ Lamb. Spicy Frog Dry Pot and Get Da Soup are all right. Pork may with strange taste as I tried. Leave some waiting time for food making after ordering.Food: 4/5

I went here on a busy weekend. There was a line. Waited more than 20 minutes to get seated but it was understandable because this place is good. I love the taste, quality and portions. My favorite was the shrimps. It tasted delicious. The plum juice was flavorful. Parking can be tough on weekends so make sure you come early. Overall, I highly recommend this place. View menu

I've visited this restaurant several times, and their food is consistently delicious and authentic! Today, we ordered three types of pork organs, lamb stir-fried with green onions, beef noodle soup, and a spicy garlic pork dish served cold with cucumber. The food arrived quickly. Just a heads up, they close for an hour in the afternoon, so be sure to check Google for their hours. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

We ordered Peking Duck and it tastes great. The promised time was 7 pm and food came at 7:10. Current price for the duck is $72.99, more expensive than we expected. We also ordered Pepper Eggplant Tomato Potato (1 dish) and it was 100% authentic Chinese food.Parking: At 6:30 pm, the parking lot was full after we took the last spot. There is street parking but also limited. After 7:30 or 8, you can sure find a parking spot easily.

BTH is a must-visit for everyone! I'm not very familiar with the flavors of Northern China, but after dining here, I was able to appreciate them with ease! I can only handle mild spice, and the food was seasoned perfectly for my taste. The fish, eggplant, tofu with bell peppers, hot and sour soup, and lamb ribs served for three were just right. One tip for those coming for lunch: the dishes are not prepared quickly, so be prepared for a leisurely meal! I would definitely return to try other dishes, perhaps the Peking Duck. View menu

I am a huge fan of spicy Chinese food and have scoured all of Monterey Park/SGV/Alhambra and Beijing Tasty House is definitely a hidden gem. I've been here a total of 4 times and have nothing but good things to say. The waiting staff is extremely quick and super nice but this review is most importantly on the food. I was dining in with a table of 2 and ordered 4 dishes. The portions are not only pretty massive, the flavors in these dishes are incredible. I'm very familiar with Chinese food and surprisingly the dreaded MSG thirst never came with the food here. If you were to come here I would highly recommend the Sizzling Cumin Lamb and Brown Sugar Rice Cake. If you happen to not be spicy fan...

Food Service Ambience After a long day trip, I was so glad to discover a restaurant that served authentic Beijing cuisine. Although the service was average, the delicious dishes they served more than made up for it, satisfying my cravings completely. The restaurant boasted a tasteful design with an authentic Beijing style. The proximity of the stacked disposable meal boxes and beer barrels to the dining area detracted from the restaurant's overall cleanliness and aesthetic appeal. However, the dishes were so good!Sliced Pancake Soaked in Whole Fish with black sauce This is a traditional Beijing dish that is absolutely delectable! The fish is seasoned to perfection with a delightful mix of salt...

"Got in little late decided to UberEATS some food from this new Vietnamese restaurant. Flavors pretty solid but not best execution I 've had. ITEM 'S ORDERED: Garlic Noodle w/ Shaken Beef Spicy Basil Chicken w/ Rice TASTE: Garlic Noodle w/ Shaken Beef was executed ok. The beef being filet mignon was not as tender as expected, but not so bad. Has a more tame savory black pepper flavor with just a hint of sweetness. The noodles seemed either a little too al dente or maybe somewhat stale or old. Garlic flavor was a little too weak but not a bad flavor overall. There 's green red bell peppers as well as cilantro. Spicy Basil Chicken w/ Rice was the winner in this meal. Very well seasoned flavorful. Savory, but not overly salty actually quite spicy as you continue to eat. Glad the rice was not overcooked pairs well with the very flavorful sauce. There 's green red bell peppers as well as cilantro in this one as well. Both entrees come with a little romaine lettuce side salad with tomatoes pickled radish carrots. Lightly sweet, vinegary mayo dress dressing which I liked. I did not like the ends of the romaine hearts being in there. They should always be discarded. Everything was overly oily/greasy to the point you can just feel it all in your lips as you keep eating. At least it 's all quite flavorful since it 's really bad when it 's all oily lacking in flavor. Everything was quite hot when it arrived. Did not have to reheat anything. I do live close to this restaurant though. SERVICE, LOCATION PARKING: UberEATS order so no direct comments on service. All the food was packed well I like that they gave garlic chili sauce which pairs well with these foods. They are located in that somewhat new strip mall right across Costco off of Commonwealth Date. You can enter on either of those streets. There 's a shared parking lot which is usually easy to find a spot in. But it 's still usually busy in there since the parking lot is not really big enough for all the businesses there. Food was not a complete fail flavors were mainly solid so I 'm not opposed to getting food here again. Plus I 'm just so close to it as well."

"Awesome place! Recommended to me by my old Band director at the local highschool. Vouched for the garlic fries (they use FRESH garlic, get ready for that BITE! If the photos actually uploaded in order, they are the buttermilk fried chicken, 3 meat bbq tray(brisket, pastrami, pulled pork w/ side of coleslaw mashed potatoes, poutine fries, 2 meat bbq tray (brisket pastrami w/ side of mashed potatoes mac, beer flight (bartenders choice , buck cherry, and lastly the bbq pork sliders. Also ordered pork ribs but forgot to take a photo. Great friendly service! Chill atmosphere, great place for food and drinks. Meat trays are definitely worth it. The pulled pork was a smidge dry though. The other selections were significantly more juicy. Should split this someone unless you plan on taking some home. Coleslaw had some spice to it. Very complimentary. Mashed potatoes needed an extra umph . Something like garlic or ever fresh pepper can bring it up a level. I 'm told the poutine fries were good from my friend that ordered them. Didn 't get a chance to try any as they demolished the plate! Must 've been good! Mac was great, definitely a solid choice! Can never go wrong with sliders! Their sauce definitely makes an improvement to everything. Drinks were great. Loved the pork ribs but everyone else thought they were dry. Maybe they got bad ribs because the ones I tried were pretty juicy(I ate them late too . It 's also possible that they might have just been expecting a saucey rib rather than a dry rub rib. The buttermilk chicken was decent, that garlic sauce definitely brought it up a level! Y 'all need a Nashville style one too! Overall a great experience and awesome food. Definitely a step up from the last time I came. Will be back for sure!"
