"I thought this place was just okay. Our waiter, that we could barely hear, took our drink order. Came back told us some things weren't available for drinks. Took a new order. And before the drinks were delivered another waitress came over to take our drink order again. Maybe it was a shift change but it seemed like no one knew what was going on. We ordered appetizers and meals. Our meals came out first...and halfway through those our apps came out. This is probably my biggest restaurant pet peeve. But the good the lobster roll and steamers were very good. My husband had the fried platter and said it was good too. Prices for the food were expensive but as expected...I thought the drinks were overpriced and not that great."

Left the goat after being treated like trash to a completely different experience. Plenty of friendly staff over at Bernie's. Avery has taken care of us and it has been such a welcoming environment. Excellent food and drinks with a very friendly staff. Couldnt have asked for more.

I paid for 2 dinners and 1 soda and it cost $68, which is fine is the food was ok. My meal was $35 and it was nasty. I couldn't even eat it. I would have preferred to eat cart food from the middle of the side walk. All I can say is run away. Food is very gross and the waitress didn't care. 1 star and that's because of the atmosphere

Probably be a good idea if they cut 90% if there menu and just kept the basic things they get right which isn't much. A ton of the food is really gross which is a shame because it's such a great beach location. Just get the steamers. And the service is pretty much non existent. Bring a flag you might find a waitress if you wave it for a while. View menu

Really struggling here to give this place 3 stars but the view from second floor deck was great. The food I can only describe as somewhere between my high school lunch room and Micky D's. The food was a serious disappointment. Staff were attentive and deserve much more than the cuisine served here and so do the customers. If you are looking for fried seafood I would go to Browns on 296 and bring uour own beer.

It's fair of me to update with a higher rating as I was contacted immediately following an update I had made. Why is it fair? Because they genuinely care and made a huge effort to get information from me and to rectify the the whole situation. That to me is not something you see from a lot of businesses. I will stand by my initial review that the location is really what makes this place. They have live music, drinks and the atmosphere on itself is what makes it a place to go, as well as the customer service.

The view is great... the bands are great. Appetizers are MUCH better then entrees. Nachos are loaded and good Entrees were expensive and not good. Red snapper was over cooked however the sauce was very good. Mahi was also over cooked Got fried seafood platter and the clams were inedible as they were burned two of us had clams and both were the same. The clam chowder was more like a corn chowder but good Other things to note. Additional sides $6. So if you want an additional corn on the cob it's $6. I would recommend sticking to apps and if you want an entree head somewhere else. View menu

Went on a Tuesday, not too crowded, and we got a great seat on the second deck with full beach view. Food was wonderful. Had a great fish dish. Server's attentiveness was so so. Alcoholic drinks were completely watered down could barely taste alcohol. Expected better drinks for $17 apiece. But worst part of experience was leaving a cash tip to Taylor the server, then checking my credit card the next day and shocked that I was charged an additional $12 tip that I did not agree to. I saw no notice on the receipt or anywhere else that I would automatically be charged a tip. Probably won't go back for these reasons.

ordered clam chowder , terrible ! potatos were under cooked , horrible after taste. the waiter was nothing but rude when we mentioned it was not very good we sent the soup back with only a few bites taken out . The waiter was very rude and unapologetic. Dinner is served . 3 out of 4 dinners were even edible. Anything coming out of a deep fryer , was bad . Bad tasting coating , greasy and tasteless . We sat with empty drinks the entire time after they served the first drink . We dont mind paying top price for good food , but we paid top price for terrible food !this place is not the same as it was a few years back ! The change is no good !

"We made a special trip to Al's Seafood because it was rated high and we weren't disappointed. Part of Al's Fish and Seafood Market, the restaurant is the left bldg. You order on a big billboard at a counter then you exit to the right and enter the main dining area where they serve your food fresh. Really easy to order. We ordered a cup of clam chowder, hot lobster roll and clam strips and fries. Chowder came first piping hot which is exactly how a chowder should be. Arguably some of the best chowder I've ever had in my life! You can really taste the fresh clams without them overwhelming the chowder. Nice chunks of potatoes, spiced and salted just right. Lobster roll was perfection. A gratuitous amount of fresh lobster in melted butter all heaped on a nicely toasted roll. Perfect amount of butter so as it didn't soak into the roll. Similarly to the clam chowder, the clam strips we're fresh as if they were just caught today. Nice side of crispy fries and a good slaw rounded out the lunch time meal. An honorable mention- -their tartar sauce was just awesome! Well balanced tangy/creamy deliciousness. We were actually full but kept eating the fries for that reason. The only nitpick things are that it's expensive (just seems to be the trend these days) and the clam strips could have been cooked a little bit longer. But that's more my preference. I like very crispy clam strips. Does not take away from the high rating. Final note--Staff were friendly, helpful and checked on us frequently. I HIGHLY recommend stopping in for lunch or dinner at Al's Seafood for an all-round fantastic seafood meal."
