"I'm back by the sea. A small piece of my beach that grew up here in DFW. Fresh seafood with beach town Vibe. We ordered snow cancer chefs, coconut? Shrimp?, roasted cucumbers, raw and fried oysters. The oysters were so fresh. Even the fried melt like butter when you puncture them. Not dry. Customer service was excellent. The bus boys earned every bit the 20% tip I left. Although it is counter-service, the garbage remained free and everything we needed was brought twice fast. They had a line out of the door all the time, so obviously they have a reputation and of what I can say it is well deserved. Excellent?"

Delicious! All food was good and fast service. Always really busy but it’s a big space so not crowded. A bit pricey but they deliver the good quality food. Recommend the hush puppies and shrimp cocktail comes with lots of shrimps.

The best boiled shrimp and shrimp cocktail. Shrimp basket did go down from 8 count to 6 count. Which is what made it such a good deal. Ceviche and coconut shrimp yummy too as well as crawfish when in season. I don’t usually like coleslaw but theirs is pretty good.

Another hole in the wall. It was said the line is usually out of the door. You order, pay yourself. Was quoted on Saturday afternoon and not so busy. Recommend shrimp cocktail in the cup and their fried fish dishes. My salmon was good. Too much food. Calamari was crunchy outside and chew in perfect! View menu

Saw a video online and decided to try this place. Bf got the oysters (which he told me to try. They were great and ordered a dozen more. I tried the shrimp cocktail and ordered more to take home (Tues are $5, AND $2 Margueritas on Monday!! Everyone was nice and helpful, you can't make that you are your own cocktail sauce. We'll be back. VP was there and mentioned a new McKinney location. We look forward to it!

I had a craving for oysters and fried fish Saturday after moving. Needless to say I brought an appetite and Big Shucks definitely brought great food with large portions. These were some of the best raw oysters I have had in years big, plump, and in a saltwater brine. Their fried fish and shrimp are always delicious. Never greasy and taste fresh. The oysters are from the Texas coast. It was nice to be able to sit out on the patio and enjoy my meal in the sunshine.

"I visited today Botolino Gelateria Artigianale in Dallas, and I have to say, it was an unforgettable experience! Since they opened their first shop in 2015, I’ve heard so many great things about this gelateria, but nothing prepared me for the delightful treat that awaited me. After trying their gelato, I was so impressed that I even did my own research to understand the magic behind the flavors I was tasting. The moment I walked in, I could see why Botolino has become a favorite among locals. The gelato is crafted using traditional Italian methods, which gives it a creamy, rich texture that is simply divine. It’s no wonder they’ve won awards like “Best Gelato in Dallas” and have been recognized in various culinary competitions for their innovative flavors. The variety at Botolino is impressive. I tried the rich Pistachio, mascarpone with figs and the decadent Stracciatella. Each flavor was bursting with authentic taste, and I could truly appreciate the quality of the ingredients used. It was like taking a little trip to Italy with every bite! What really stood out to me was the friendly staff, who were eager to share their passion for gelato. They offered me samples and helped guide my choices, making the experience even more enjoyable. In short, my visit to Botolino Gelateria Artigianale was nothing short of amazing. If you’re in Dallas and looking for high-quality gelato, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t be disappointed—I know I’ll be back for more soon!"
