"4.5 stars. Excellent eating, owner takes a little time on himself. we came here on a federal celebration evening so that the parking spaces were easy to reach (only parking). I took the spot right away. this is our first time and we were out of the bay to visit, so we asked what he recommended, and he said briefly: read the menu! we ordered the goats and the chicken biryanis and the karahi with a garlauch naan and some tee to finish the meal. they were nice enough to tell us that it takes time. how it turns out that preparation really helps, as we were pleasantly surprised when eating came faster than expected. the biryanis were excellent! good seasoning levels, separated and colorful rice, well cooked chicken and goat meat. both bryanis had a homemade effect, which I absolutely enthusiastic! the prawn karahi was more oily than I guess, but the taste and flavor level was excellent! I would still recommend doing chicken or goat/lamb for karahi, the garnelen do not fit exactly with the karahi concept. with the garlic naan the karahi was super delicious! the tee was okay, but I like a certain kind of tee that pretty no one except my mom and I do, so I wasn't surprised. the quantities were decent. we think the two are for two meals. all in all I was very happy with eating with taking the oil in karahi. the owner has warmed us up through the course of our meal and we have left on really good conditions. will definitely recommend who goes to oakland."

This was my first time at Biryani Tika Kabab, and I was warmly welcomed by the friendly owner. The restaurant is roomy without being overly fancy, and the food is excellent with rich flavors. We enjoyed the Cheese Naan, Goat Biryani, Pepper Chicken, and Lamb Seekh Kebab—all fresh and delicious. I will certainly be coming back.

The flavor is consistent, seasoned properly and the meat is tender. I am glad I found them after they moved from the 13th st location. I visited Biryani Tika Kabab for lunch and found the restaurant to be quite calm inside, though there were many take-out orders. The staff was friendly, and our food came out quickly. We tried the butter chicken, lamb tikka masala, vegetable biryani, and naan. The standout for me was the soft naan paired with the lamb tikka masala—the sauce was incredible. Honestly, the sauce was so good that I could have enjoyed it even without the meat. The vegetable biryani was tasty as well. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by both the food and the service, and I will definitely be coming back.
