Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. Several people commented it was the best wedding cake they've ever had. I would recommend.

Kerrie was a pleasure to work with and super helpful/responsive throughout the entire planning process. We served cake and a number of different sweets — everything tasted delicious! We were beyond pleased with the service and overall experience.

I'm huge fan of bittersweet until my last order. The cake tasted like it's been in the freezer for months. Pretty bland. I know the signature cakes are frozen but still this one was unpalatable. I have gone here many times, and each is just as good as the last. The pastries, especially the croissants, are very good. Also, the quiche is tasty. My favorite one is definitely the ham and cheese. The service is good. It is quick and tasty. I would definitely recommend going to Bittersweet Pastry Shop café.

Ordered a birthday cake online and had it delivered to my daughter who lives in Chicago. Everything went smoothly and my daughter was thrilled with her cake. Thank you so much to Bob who delivered her cake. He was patient when he arrived, and realized there were issues with her building's intercom system. He was so sweet to my daughter, and wished her a happy birthday.

Sad to see a gem in the city fall apart. This was my go to place for cakes. Customer service was 6 stars now down to 1. Slow email reply to website problems. It’s almost taken me a week to make an order I would’ve had done in a day. Seriously, just tell people you don’t want their business anymore. My husband and I secured Bittersweet after doing their cake tasting kit, which was so fun delicious to do! They were easy to work with communicate with ahead of time, they also delivered the cake on time on our wedding day, it was exactly what we were looking for. It was just a smaller cutting cake for the head table, but it still made a big impact and was very tasty! Can't wait to come back for other big life events in the future. We cannot recommend them enough!

Bittersweet did our cake as well as sweets for our vow renewal this July. I was thoroughly impressed with the tasting process (our friends subbed in for us and experience with booking. Our cake turned out just like our inspiration photo! Bittersweet provided the cake for our wedding and they were fantastic. It was really easy to order a cake kit and taste the different combinations. The communication for ordering was a little slow (but not detrimentally so) because we had to use their online chat system. The cake was beautiful!
