"Always great to eat at a black eyed pea. This time we were passing through and decided to give this location a whirl. We were immediately greeted upon entrance and were seated moments later. A very nice gentleman came and took our drink order and gave us our menus. We probably surprised him with our large order as we were traveling and wanted to get a bunch of goodies to take on the road with us for later. We got the appetizer special it was called the American sampler and everything was totally yummy. We ordered the fried green tomatoes which were a little clumpy and big I would say. I had a charbroiled chop steak which was good and my husband had the wonderful fried catfish. To top it off I ordered a mile high chocolate cake to go. Got to say when I got back to the hotel I think I fell into a short coma from all the sweetness. Everything was very good and Anton thanks once again sorry that we kept ordering things like we were eating for a busload of people. We did enjoy our dinner when we got home again the following day. We will see you again in the future and thank you once again."

sharing dinner with the family is the best feeling in the world. 8 adults with 1 grandchild made for a wonderful celebration. Service was great, bartender super. But the desserts... stop for a delicious meal.

The restaurant looks very clean inside and outside. Our server was very friendly and tested for certain ingredients for us to accept food restrictions. Tons of food options. You also have alcohol. I'd eat here again.

Great chicken fried steak and sides and loved the banana pudding A long time later... we had dinner tonight and enjoyed everything. I had the ribeye and wife the Friday fish special and really liked it. We also had the carrot cake and a custom Sunday that both desert really surprised us because they were absolutely huge!

While we waited, we were served dinner rolls and cornbread muffins which were excellent. The salads were very good and the beer was cold. There was no rush to move us out. All together an excellent meal. Two beers and two big salads came to 34 dollars. You won’t go wrong eating here.

wow! the personal has beaten it out of the park. great service by rickson (sorry bud if I missed her name), great teamwork from his kumpels. the essential, fresh warm rolls, dinner served hot and I left place for apple-cheek cup with coffee. I had the cajun grilled chicken on a bed rice with a side of Squash-Casserole and a yam. the huh was a good part and grilled perfectly. my compliments to the chef, rickson and the staff for a great culinary experience. I'm back. I'm sorry, no photo of dessert. it was good and gone.
