"Service was good considering how packed they were with the staff they had. We had to go to the bar to order since we were eating outside, but they brought the food out. Carrot cake is amazing and well worth it. I had the Reuben which came with delicious fries. The sauerkraut had a good flavor, but was not as strong as I prefer. The corned beef was the star and stood out over everything. I've had better, but it was good. My wife had a center-cut sirloin cooked to perfection. It came with some delicious zucchini. She added some beer battered shrimp for $5. It was delicious and she had to split it with my daughter after she tried a bite. I didn't try any drinks, but they have an Ozark Mule (ginger beer and whiskey) that sounds good."

Like many places in Branson, MO, the service here was fantastic and friendly, but the food left a lot to be desired. The pork ribs were disappointing—poorly seasoned and the sauce tasted awful. The overall appearance was unappetizing, too.

So, we are out in Branson for a week here and stopped in hoping to get some food that isn't as bad as many experiences have been so far. This is now our second visit here and we are going one last time before we leave. I hope that says it all. Food is amazing, the restaurant is very clean, and all of the staff have been great, especially our server, Brad, who we asked for the second and will again for the third visit. The menu is smaller, which is better in my opinion, and each plate shows the care put into it. Enjoy! View menu

I try to get to Branson once a week. I live in Arkansas. I go to two restaurants there . The Blackoak is my favorite . The reasons I like this place is the ambiance. The bar is perfect. I have tried almost everything on the menue. My favorites are the pan fried trout and the salmon. However everything else is really good. The staff is super friendly. If you experienced a bad server, I guarantee he or she was not working there long and was gone in short order. They will adjust the menue if requested. I have recommended this place to many of my Arkansas friends and they all thanked me for telling them about it. Try it, you'll like it.

Where to begin? The potato skins topped with prime rib were absolutely fantastic! The burger, cooked well done, was incredibly juicy and delicious. Despite being an hour past lunchtime, we were still able to order the five-cheese grilled cheese sandwich, and it certainly did not disappoint! Our server, Brad, was exceptional; he went out of his way to check with the kitchen when we had questions. Brad truly exceeded our expectations and is an amazing waiter. If you find yourself at the outdoor shops in Branson, you must visit Black Oak Grill and try the potato skins, burger, and grilled cheese! Be sure to ask for Brad as your server; he will take excellent care of you.
