"This restaurant offers some of the best food I've ever had! Everything is flavorful, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. I tried the steak sandwich Jibarito along with rice and a side of tostones with garlic sauce, and it was all absolutely delicious! The ambiance is quite simple—nothing extravagant. The service is also basic; you get what you need, but don't expect anything too elaborate. The servers are busy, so you may need to flag them down for assistance. Despite that, I would definitely return for the amazing food!"

I just returned from Puerto Rico and wanted to try some local Puerto Rican cuisine. It was decent. View menu

I ordered tostones, but they were really dry and hard. The pork chops for dinner had no flavor, while the pollo guisao was just okay.

This is a fantastic spot for enjoying delicious Puerto Rican cuisine and having a great conversation, unlike some other restaurants that can be too noisy.

This is my go-to place for authentic Puerto Rican cuisine! The food is delicious, clean, and made fresh to order. I always order the Bistec Encebollado with rice, accompanied by Maduros and some Alcapurrias for the ride home. Don't forget to try the hot sauce! View menu

I just ate here and I must say that I was very disappointed. The carne frita was excessively dry. My husband ordered the chuleta plate and they were bland. The rice had the texture of minute rice and it did not have that authentic pr flavor to it. The one thing that they got right were the alcapurrias. Fried to perfection and the flavor was spot on.

Botin Wien maintains a steady level of mediocrity. If there were another Puerto Rican restaurant nearby, I wouldn't hesitate to give it a try. The flavors are enjoyable, but the food can be a bit too greasy for my taste. The soup had an overwhelming amount of river (possibly referring to fish or some ingredient), making it feel unbalanced. Overall, I may order from here again, but it's definitely a place where you need to know the right dishes to choose.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
