"This delightful local ice cream shop is absolutely charming! Although it tends to get quite busy, they have an efficient system in place that makes the wait feel shorter. The portion sizes are extremely generous! I always have to remind the staff to give me a smaller amount, as I can never finish two scoops. My husband is a big fan of their strawberry milkshake. I highly recommend this ice cream spot—it's a fantastic way to support our local business! I’ll be sure to share more photos as we continue to visit."

"Growing up in the neighborhood I moved out some 30yrs ago and maybe popped in a small handful of times a short time after that. While craving a good gyros sandwich I looked at some of the recent reviews and thought man I gotta go back and see. Went back last night for supper to give it try and roll through the neighborhood. I am glad we did- the restaurant looks the same for the most part, some updates with furniture, but the gyros sandwich and saganaki were outstanding, just as I remembered! Keep it up Central Gyros- we’ll be back again!"

"The shrimp cocktail was delicious. The shrimp were all jumbo. 6 shrimp. If you like escargot, they make it for you there-slight hint of Pernod. Plenty of garlic and herbs. Not the best I've ever had but it was a decent attempt. The burger was definitely dreadful being overdone the bun was dry. The French fries were cold, soggy and tasted like frozen fries heated in an oven left out and then reheated in an attempt to save them. Awful for a restaurant of this caliper. The bartender knows how to make a very dry martini. I'd go back to try an entree. The blackened salmon sandwich was decent. But, alas, the same dreadful fries were served with it. Don't have the fries at lunch."

"First, the positives. Maya Del Sol has been an Oak Park staple for a while. It has the best outdoor eating space in the area and the atmosphere is great. They were well staffed and the service was fine. Cocktails were pretty good. As for the food....it was truly terrible. The chicken enchiladas tasted like cafeteria food think instant frozen dinner drenched in mole sauce to cover the lack of flavor. The fish tacos were terrible. If I were to guess, the fish was frozen, microwaved and then covered in fresh topping. If not, and that was fresh fish, there is no excuse. We left most of both dishes untouched. I have eaten here many times over the years. This is the first bad meal I've had. But given the cost, once is enough. Then chips and salsa were still good."

"they met with friends for dinner on Saturday night. the restaurant was very crowded, but the reservation was ready when we went into the door. cocktails were ordered by everyone and they were very good. the special of the evening was parmesan risotto with braided short ribs and my friend said it was delicious. my man had the laughs and said it was the best laugh he ever had. I myself and the other friend with whom we ordered the rústico ribeye. while tasty, both were better made than we had ordered, but very large portions. dessert came and each of us ordered another dessert. I would recommend the cannoli and cocosnus cake with cocosgelat. we will definitely come back!"
