"Ok so I really wanted to like this place. I ignored the other reviews that said overpriced and underwhelming so please believe the reviews. I say the other reviews are absolutely correct. First we got the brown sugar milk and strawberry tea. The brown sugar milk tea was delicious and the only thing that was good. The strawberry tea tasted like drinking perfume yuck not for me or my husband or our daughter we all tried it big no from everyone. Got the general tso chicken and the chicken if that's even what it was.... is so chewy you couldn't break it down to swallow it. Eggrolls were generic. Orderd 2 sandwiches that were so full of veggies and an abundance of cilantro little to no meat we didn't even finish them. Spent almost 60 dollars here and left with literally a bad taste in our mouth. If you want to try Boba go to another place with a better price point and definitely avoid the food if you do end up going."

Ordered strawberry lemonade, milk tea with Boba, and raspberry tea. All three were great. Fast service.

Amazing authentic food. Does get a bit pricy however it's well worth it. Both the portions and the quality were beyond superb.

Parking isn't fun around here but the place itself always satisfies. Classic drinks and selection of tasty foods. Love the brown sugar milk tea but it goes quick/isn't always available.

My husband was craving a slushy after our stroll through downtown Raleigh, so we did a quick Google search and discovered Budacai. He ordered the mango slushy, and when I took a sip, it was incredibly refreshing—just what we needed to beat the heat! Perfect! View menu

This was my first time trying boboa, it was really good! I liked the taste of the drink and the boboa that they put at the bottom was really good as well. I did not try the food, and I actually don’t remember the names of the drinks we tried, but I think one was strawberry with brown sugar. Try it out!

I visited this place with a group to grab some bubble tea. I decided to try the mango matcha milk tea with regular tapioca pearls. The boba was decent, and the drink itself was okay, but I was disappointed that I couldn't really taste the mango flavor. One of my friends ordered the golden boba and didn't care for it, so I’d recommend sticking with the regular boba.

Ughhhh I really dislike leaving bad reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others about how bad the food is here. My salad was a pile of shredded cabbage with boiled ? chicken and maybe some rice vinegar? I never throw food away, but it went in the trash. My friend’s food a bowl with beef, rice, kimchi and salad tasted like it came from a mall food court. But it was edible, so that’s cool. Also: the food isn’t cheap. Bad expensive is a bad combo. Maybe the tea is tasty but would recommend avoiding the food. View menu

After working the night shift downtown and eyeing this place for a few months, I finally decided to try it out. Unfortunately, I wish I hadn’t. The portions of the Vietnamese grilled pork, vermicelli noodles, carrots, pickled onions, and bok choy were generous, but the flavor was completely lacking. I also ordered two pork spring rolls; while they were crispy and had good vegetables inside, the unseasoned pork made them taste bland—almost like eating cardboard. Overall, the meal was disappointing and fell short of my expectations. With a nearly $30 bill, I’m honestly surprised I didn't give it two stars. I had high hopes, but they were dashed.

PERFECT boba pearls!!! I bought the brown sugar milk tea with boba and the dragon fruit tea with mango stars. I’m very picky with my boba pearls and am loyal to my Madison, WI local Yummees, but I love the boba here. They are well cooked, and soft yet chewy. Most boba places don’t cook their pearls thoroughly, so I’m always excited when I stumble upon boba places that do. The brown sugar is super sweet (of course)! I will ask for 50% sweetness next time. The dragon fruit tea is a perfect blend of fruit and tea. It has a floral scent to it that makes it very refreshing. Some folks might not like the floral tastes in tea as it might taste perfumey, but I thought it was a good essence to this t...

"Even though this restaurant is an hour away from our home, it 's been our special occasion go to restaurant for years. We 've brought our parents here and purchased gift cards for our friends. I love the selection of creative vegan entrees, relaxed art house atmosphere, and live music. We 've always received friendly service and enjoyed our food in the past. This evening, for the first time in my life (at any restaurant), I sent back an entree. I was nearly in tears because I feel so guilty about wasting food. The replacement dish I received was even worse--what was advertised as pad thai turned out to be mushy noodles drenched in what tasted like rice vinegar, hastily topped with carrots and green beans. My husband tasted it and his face said it all. His words were borderline inedible. We were disappointed with the food, but we understand that on a busy Saturday night, mishaps with food can occur. Between us we have 30 years ' experience working in restaurants and have been confronted with many situations like this ourselves. What happened next turned our disappointment to anger: a manager came to our table with check in hand, apologized coldly, and seemed to think that comping the two meals I couldn 't eat had been a magnanimous gesture. She did offer us dessert, which I guess was a nice thought but not a substitution for dinner. I 'm giving a second star because my husband said his short ribs were very good, as was the appetizer. All said, we 're out $70 and I still haven 't had dinner. Side note: we advise purchasing bottled options if you 're a beer drinker. My husband is a professional brewer by trade and every draft beer from here has been flat and displayed off flavors. He knows what these beers are supposed to taste like, and it seems to be an issue with the draft system. Also, our entrees appeared about 5 minutes after we ordered them, which doesn 't seem like enough time for making things to order. Since writing this, it 's come to our attention that these changes are likely due to new ownership of the restaurant. The lack of hospitality combined with the lower quality food is sure to alienate their most loyal patrons, including us."
