"I recently had a delightful dining experience at Buffalo Joe's, and I couldn't be more pleased with my visit. The restaurant offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease.Let's start with the main attraction: the wings. Oh, the wings! Buffalo Joe's truly knows how to create the perfect blend of flavors. The wings were cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and tender, juicy meat on the inside. The variety of sauces available catered to every palate, from tangy and mild to fiery and bold. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness that left me craving for more. But the wings were just the beginning of my gastronomic adventure. The fried mushrooms were an absolute delight. The batter was light and crispy, giving way to earthy, succulent mushrooms. It was a fantastic appetizer that kept me eagerly anticipating the main course.Speaking of which, the corn on the cob was a delightful addition to the meal. Grilled to perfection, the corn was sweet and juicy. The charred bits added a delightful smoky flavor that enhanced every bite. It was a fantastic accompaniment to the wings and fried mushrooms, creating a balanced and satisfying meal. The service at Buffalo Joe's was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were quick to offer recommendations and made sure that every request was met with a smile. The overall dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. In conclusion, Buffalo Joe's is a must-visit for any wing enthusiast or anyone seeking a delightful meal. With their mouthwatering wings, crispy fried mushrooms, and flavorful corn on the cob, this restaurant hits all the right notes. Combine that with excellent service, and you have a winning combination. I can't wait to visit Buffalo Joe's again for another unforgettable dining experience."

Best jumbo breaded fried shrimp I've had. Love their fish and chips as well as their classic wings. Great fast and friendly staff.Food: 5/5

Great food but so far both locations are really tired and dirty, too bad because the food servings are generous and tasty. After experiencing grimy tables in both Rogers Park and Evanston it leaves me wondering how dirty the kitchen is..Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair friendly.

This popular local wing spot serves some of the best hearty food you can find. I enjoy their Buffalo and spicy sauces on my wings, and I often opt for either tenders or bone-in wings. The fries are great, and while I wait for my order, I notice many customers ordering the sandwiches. Food: 5/5. View menu

The wings are tasty, but quite pricey, and it seems like the staff doesn't really care—everything feels like they're just relying on a tried-and-true recipe. I definitely won't be returning, mostly out of frustration. There's always an issue with my order; it’s become a recurring problem. Items are often missing unless you double-check right when you receive your food. I’ve even waited almost an hour for wings because they misplaced or forgot my order. It doesn't matter how far in advance you call; you can always expect a wait.

Trash! Those of you who gave this place more than one star I hope your food from here on out is Strictly highly monitored. Because it doesn't seem that you know the difference between food and trash.@Buffalojoes How can your rib tips be gelatinous and dry at the same time? And the wings. Potential customers, can you believe this place gave me some What seemed to be already-made wings (dry as well)and just drowned it in barbecue sauce? It's OK we rolled the dice and tried this restaurant I know I won't ever go here again. I feel sorry for the people in this neighborhood who believe this is good food

Another not my first time here, but first Google Review for this place! Been coming to this spot and their Clark St (also in Evanston) location ever since I can remember and many times while I was in school. Suicide sauce always! Ordered here is the Double Order (20 piece) mix (drums and wings need to get 'em double sauced and well done next time)that comes with some carrots, celery, and ranch cups, as well as a small order of Fish Chips (comes with your choice of tartar or cocktail sauce), which I never had but batter is crispy and fish fillet are smooth and boneless. Didn 't order here but their Waffle Fries are also great. View menu

I order from this place three times a week, and I think it’s very good. By far, they have the best burgers on Howard Street. However, I’m really frustrated with the missing items in my orders. About 1 in 5 orders is correct, and it’s always something that’s missing. It’s never extras, only subtracting from what I ordered. A double burger ends up being a single, and a cheeseburger sometimes doesn’t even have cheese. If you order a dinner, don’t expect to get all the sides. You can always count on them to mess up your order every time. The food is delicious, and I love their highly seasoned fries and wings, but I’ve stopped going there because of the inconsistency.

Used to have the best wings and sauces in Chicago! Now this is just a run-of-mill locally-owned and operated wing place. Ambiance is OK, a but run down with faded posters from days gone by (e.g., 1990's Chicago Bulls championship pics), and the TV playing ESPN golf made for a less remarkable meal than we thought we'd have... the mild sauce was flavorful. The spicy was spicy and tasty, not wicked hot, the wings meaty but some were quite small. I'd go again, but I'm not rushing right back there.Parking: Some landscaping crews with trailers were taking up big parts of the parking lot, but there was ample space for our little car during a relatively quiet Friday lunch hour.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
