Great beer selection and the location can't be beat. We've learned however to eat elsewhere after being repeatedly disappointed in the food but beer is their specialty and they do that well.

The best PANINI IN VIRGINIA AND THE BEER Left me speechless the bartender was super friendly and gave me some sticker for free ! My cousin had a burger and told me it was the best burger he had ever had !! 100% recommend this place!! And let's not talk about the view the lake right outside looks beautiful, and the bathrooms got a nice view as well

The fried pickle batter is outstanding! Very light and crisp! Try them dipped in their ranch dressing! YUMMY! Also, the catfish bites are DELICIOUS! Stopped by for a few burgers and brews. My son tried a few different kinds, and they all had a great taste. I tried the blueberry lemonade seltzer brew and enjoyed it. The chicken bites were, wow, great. The burgers were cooked perfectly and a nice size. We sat on the outdoor patio (doggy friendly) and enjoyed the lake view. The band was sitting up as we left.

The burgers are amazing! I enjoyed the Golden Blonde and Hazy beers. The customer service at the bar area was excellent. The inside can get a bit loud with the echo, but overall it's good. There is plenty of seating outside. Even if you're not a fan of this place, I recommend going for the sunset views over the lake, enjoying the music, and grabbing some food to go.

Great place. Beer was pretty good. They had a citrus one that was red or dark. It was yummy and unexpected. The vibe was amazing. There was a great live band that the stage was set up waterside a bit farther away than the tables which was perfect. Not too loud. There was an Oktoberfest going on and the stein holding competition was so much fun to watch and cheer for. DOG friendly!!!! View menu

We have enjoyed Buggs Island Brewing for many years, from almost when they first opened. We have always had a wonderful time, and of course excellent beer. We were very excited when they moved lakeside, and the ambience of the water just made the place all the better. So when it came time to plan our small wedding, we really couldn't think of any place better. We had such excellent caring service from the staff that our day turned out better than we could have imagined. Their food is wonderful, and their beer is always fantastic. So whether you are looking for a quick beer, a bite to eat, meeting friends, or a catered party, you can't go wrong with BIB.

The vibe in here is very friendly. The staff are great and we had a great time! Their fried pickles are super crisp and flavorful. Since they make their own pickles, they have a bit of a kick to them. They crinkle cut them as well, so they're more crisp than the regular flat coins at other places. The batter reminds me of a tempura, light and stays crisp. As for the sauce that it came with, it reminds me of a remoulade almost, or a cheese sauce but mayo. Hard to describe, but it compliments the pickles wonderfully. We also bought some of their pimento cheese to take home and put on our hot dogs, and it was amazing. The beer is so-so in comparison to most of the breweries I 've been to, nothing to really write home about on that front unfortunately. The IPAs on tap are more of a piney flavor and I favor a citrus IPA, the porter was a little lighter on taste than what I 'd expect for a porter, the Kolsch was decent probably my favorite which is not typical for me. Didn 't try any of the others while I was there. If you 're a connoisseur I don 't think you will be particularly impressed. Food was good, but I ordered a smash-burger which is what it said on the menu and what I and everyone else at my table got was not at all a smash-burger, just a regular burger.
