"I decided to stop by their place after passing it in Wahiawa on my way to the North Shore. It's just a few blocks past the entrance of Wahiawa. Plenty of parking at the back which also serves a few other eateries. They have good variety on the menu, different meats, sides, plates and specials. I got the bbq chicken and pulled pork plate. Both were flavorful and juicy. It came with a scoop or rice and some mac salad. There's bbq sauce available and it had a nice sweet and tangy flavor. Complimented the meat well. Portion was large also. That plate would have been good for 2 people. So the value is there. Lots of picnic table seating to the side of the counter and napkins galore. It's a nice location with fast friendly service. Popular among the military and locals alike."

"Shige’s IS Wahiawa. You cannot visit Wahiawa and not get something to eat here. I could have done a review on this place a loooong time ago but i keep chowing down first before I remember to take pictures. I just can’t wait to dig in!!! Been eating here since 2001 and i eat pretty much the same thing. Either a BBQ cheeseburger with Fried Saimin or BBQ sticks with Fried Saimin. Always. The BBQ cheese burger is homemade, on a nice buttery bun with mayo and a sweet sauce. Comes with lettuce but i kicked mine out. To me, personally, The Best BBQ cheese burger on island. Its perfect in every way. Same with the fried Saimin. The Taste is spot on. Noodles are perfect. Best on island. My husband loves them too but also the homemade hamburger steak with onions, two scoops rice, mac salad and gravy ALL over. Great Family owned with friendly, hardworking staff too. Food is always hot, order has never been wrong. No mistakes EVER since 2001! This place is already super famous but if you haven’t been here yet, definitely stop by. You won’t be disappointed. Come support this long time iconic Wahiawa establishment."

"This restaurant is really good. I brought my parents here (my dad drove and paid because I don't have my license or money, but I still brought them here) and it was a great family dinner outing. The first thing I noticed was the mirrors on the walls, which were really convenient so I could check out my awesome outfit. I liked how the popular dishes were displayed with pictures above the cashier area (not shown). We could sit anywhere right after ordering, which was nice. On the table, there were chopsticks and hoisin sauce (not shown) (there may have been more, but that's all I noticed because that's all I used). My mom and I shared the chicken pho (shown), and it was enough to fill both of us up. It also came with a plate of bean sprouts, lemon slices, and basil (not shown). We chose it because we had never tried chicken pho before, and it was really delicious. We got an extra bowl for me and I added some hoisin sauce. You can see I finished that pho. My mom didn't finish the broth, but she thought the pho was really tasty. My dad ordered the lemongrass chicken (shown) and he said he could eat it every day. I tried a bite and could see why he felt that way. The chicken flavor even spread to the rice, making it delicious too. When I asked him for a review, he said it was excellent. You can see he finished the chicken and most of the rice. Overall, it was a great experience and I definitely want to come back to try other dishes, especially the beef pho (not shown). "We ordered a whole chicken slice in eight pieces. The skin was delicious and the chicken was beautiful and juicy. I would definitely prefer only the chicken without the sides at my next visit. The Cajun fruits were only spices. It was not very sharp or desirable. Otherwise it was fast and wonderfully expensive. Excellent service and hospitality."

"A co-worker picked up lunch for us from a well-known restaurant in Mililani that has been around for many years. We heard that they serve some of the best fried noodles on Oahu, if not the best. With that in mind, three of us decided to order the lunch plate with fried noodles instead of rice for an extra $2.50. I chose the Korean chicken, but what I received was a disappointing mess. The fried noodles were simply that—fried noodles—with only a few thin slices of carrot and what I believe was cabbage. There were no eggs, no meat, and no green onions at all. To make matters worse, the Korean chicken was so overcooked that it was nearly inedible; it was dry and very tough. The sauce was at the bottom of the plate, but there was hardly any of it, and while it tasted good, it simply wasn’t enough. I left feeling completely let down!"
