"Let me share this secret love I have for this place, Cakes to Die For. Toné Jackson got me hooked onto it a long time ago but it never gets old. Whenever I come to Frederick I make it a mission to stop by here and pick up some cookies and when it’s cold a cup of coffee . Today, I stopped in for cookies but they were sold out. However, Lucie, the owner came over and congratulated me on being on Fox 5 Dc this week and then told me we can bake you fresh ones and deliver it to me since I’d be across the street at Toné’s crib. I was shocked and humbled I was noticed all the way in Frederick!!! And then I was floored at the customer service this establishment always out does themselves!! Five stars is not enough!!!! They totally made my day!!! I highly recommend this place to anyone!"

My husband surprised me with a dozen cupcakes for my birthday and they were a big hit! The Salted Caramel cupcakes filled with caramel were amazing and the icing was incredibly creamy. My family loved them and we will definitely be going back for more. View menu

The treats I get from here are always delicious. Recently, I had a cookies and cream cake which was great. Then I had a lemon lavender cake for my graduation and it was the best cake ever. I have so many wonderful things to say about the delectable baked goods and fantastic staff.

I heard from a friend who is an amazing baker that your cookies were even better than hers, so I had to try them for myself. And let me tell you, they were the best cookies I have ever had. I thought my cookies were good, but yours are absolutely incredible! I will definitely be coming back for more.

This restaurant was absolutely amazing! The staff and owner were incredibly kind and fun-loving. We had a fantastic time there tonight, taking a fun photo by their impressive door and enjoying some delicious desserts. The place has a great atmosphere and a fascinating story behind it. Don't forget to ask about the owner and her amazing tale! View menu

I ordered a dozen vegan cupcakes for my supervisor. I only gave them a day’s notice. I wasn’t even sure they could do it in such a short notice but they came through. My supervisor is the only vegan one so my coworkers and I were hesitant to try them. Oh my goodness! Thank God we did. These were hands down the best cupcakes we have ever tasted. I cannot recommend Cakes to Die For enough!!!!

In my opinion, they need to rename to 'Scones to Die For '. I 've always loved a good scone, some people respond with 'those dry, flavorless lumps??? ' or something like that. It 's a good thing that I live a half an hour away and don 't get there as often as I would like to. Their Maple, Bacon scone is heaven in your mouth. Sweet and savory, tender and crispy, all in the perfect proportions.

"Every Wednesday and Thursday there is a great deal at the bar their burger, fries, and a beer for 20 dollars, so obviously I had to go. A steal! FYI only one beer is served for the deal. It 's Hank from Olde Mother Brewing Co. which was a 16oz light lager. All three of us loved the burger which was huge: two patties, thick cut bacon, pickles, onions, cheddar cheese, and a burger sauce, yum yum yum! The fries have old bay seasoning, and ya know... Maryland, amiright? They were served with ketchup and the burger sauce. The two people who came with me didn 't care for the beer, but that 's only because they aren 't beer people. I slurped mine up (and my partner 's and thought it was perfect with the burger. We also ordered new seasonal dessert items, which were pecan pie with maple ice cream and pumpkin cheesecake with grape sorbet. We couldn 't resist! The bartender and a waitress were raving about the pecan pie, and yes, it was really delicious. I loved the maple ice cream. I had the pumpkin cheesecake which was so soft and delicate. I 'm not a huge Concord grape fan but I ate all of the sorbet like a dehydrated person who was stranded on an island. It was very refreshing and cut through the fattiness of the cheesecake perfectly. The waiter was very nice and attentive! The bar was very clean and poppin ' and had people either taking advantage of the burger deal or eating other things from the menu. It did get loud at some points, which is expected because it was the bar, however(! there were no obnoxious drunk people killing the vibe. PS: I unfortunately didn 't take any photos this time. Sorry!"
