California Burritos

A few vegan options on the menu, with soyrizo, tofu, etc. delicious soyrizo Cali burrito (vege), or we also get a soyrizo, salsa and avocado burrito. yum!

the staff is very friendly and helpful. short waiting time. the location has limited door surface, but the california soyrizo is from the hook: very fresh.

The beef was extremely dry, the shells were fried to the point of being burnt, and the chicken had a strange texture. However, the rice and beans were good. I am hopeful that it was just an off night for the restaurant. View menu

The soyrizo california burrito (without cheese and sour cream) was hands down one of the best burritos I have ever had. The tortilla was light and flaky and the habanero salsa was perfect. And it was only $7! Can't wait to go back!

Vegan and vegetarian burritos besides just the classic bean burrito. They offer tofu fajita burrito, black bean, soyrizo California (ask for no cheese sour cream to be made vegan). The staff is very friendly and the service is pretty quick.

Best little taco shop in San Diego. We stop here anytime we're on the 163. The food is excellent and the portions are generous. It's just a tiny little hole in the wall place with indoor seating for 2 and outdoor seating on picnic tables. The parking lot is small. I LOVE the vegan California burrito. I also love that they know exactly what vegan means. I order them frequently for catering at work and they knew what was vegan friendly (Like if there was lard or animal stock in the recipe). Unlike many vegan friendly Mexican restaurants this one actually tastes authentic. Perfect if you’re dining with omnivores. Very affordable too.

I'm a returning diner. I stopped here with my family, who are visiting from Florida, to get dinner to-go on our way home from touring San Diego. There are seating inside and outside. There's limited parking out front, and some more street parking. There were a couple people eating in, but most people that came took their food to-go. We ordered a lot of food for 7 people, and they were quick to get the order made. The service was friendly and knows their menu well. I'm only coming here two months ago. this place is my way to see until they have messed up my order. they screwed my order a lot of time when I asked for no one. I noticed that they had a happy cow sticker, but I don't know if they understand the word vegan when they order. maybe my own bad experience. my friend and I ate here and I ordered a vegan wet burrito. my order is filled with cheese. they asked them to fix it nicely again, and there was still a good one. they didn't make me a new burrito. what they did was to scrape off the cheese and then put it off with more sauce.
