"Average, but inexpensive compared to Kings Fish House, that 's for damn sure. The Good, the Bad, the Ugly, and the lies...Had the salmon, swai, and kids fish and chips a number of times. The way they grill, fish always comes out tasty, but a little too rare for me. If you see pink in the middle, it wasn 't cooked enough. You really need to cook fish pretty much well done to kill the worms, and let 's face it, ALL FISH HAVE WORMS AND PARASITES, PERIOD! I 've been fishing my entire life, and know this first hand. In fact, if you catch tuna on a commercial boat, and want the crew to cut it up for sushi right then and there, they make you take a pill before consumption to kill the worms, no joke. And it 's tradition to eat the heart of the first tuna you catch. Google it. Freezing prior to consumption for a week kills almost all parasites and worms, but you need to achieve -4 degrees Fahrenheit for the entire week, and most freezers simply can 't go that low. The kids fish and chips is MOSTLY bread, and I mean mostly. They say it 's full size swai, but it looks more like a goldfish from Chernobyl. Tartar sauce and garlic butter is very tasty, and so is the tomatillo sauce (green). The kaleslaw is a little bland, so I always get an extra tarter sauce, mix it in with a splash of red wine vinegar, and all is well. The chips, a.k.a. french fries, beat out McDonalds by several furlongs, particularly when paired with their tarter sauce. Now for the Ugly...They claim ALL of their fish is on the Best Choice , or Good Alternative list that the Monterey Bay Aquarium provides, a guide that I LIVE by. It 's incredibly accurate. And if you haven 't been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, you need to put it on your bucket list. Truly, absolutely amazing facility. I was lucky enough to have gone when they had a baby great white shark for a short time in the main tank. Absolutely breathtaking to see that majestic, future monster, vacuum cleaner of the ocean, up close. youtube.com/watch?v=o_I_…The fact is, Swai, Branzino, and their Atlantic Salmon (Chile, Norway, Canada) are ALL on the AVOID list!!! Click on the link...seafoodwatch.org/globala…This is their Responsibly Sourced page...cafishgrill.com/pages/re…An article and video about the Mekong Delta, and fish farming in Vietnam (pangasius is swai)...seafoodsource.com/featur…youtube.com/watch?v=N6N2…Video about Norwegian Salmon, and Vietnamese Swai (Panga)Watch this when you have the time, it 's very informative and comprehensive, but it 's almost an hour long...youtube.com/watch?v=RYYf…I don 't know if they just haven 't updated in a while, or they just never actually checked. Anyway, the healthiest fish on their menu is the farm raised catfish. High in Omega 3 's and other necessary nutrients. Don 't get it fried though, it negates the benefits of eating fish by adding tons of artery clogging, chest grabbing, heart attack inducing fats and cholesterol. Get it grilled. And keep in mind, the FDA says 8-12 ounces of fish per week is about the max, about 2 meals. Catfish is now the only fish I 'm going to be consuming here from now on, grilled. Farm raised catfish is very healthy as down south, the fish farm rules and regulations are incredibly strict. Maybe the wild Rockfish every now and again (Yes, it 's on Monterey Bay Aquariums Best Choice list, as is the farm raised catfish). BTW, Rockfish from the Pacific is called Red Snapper. Never had a problem with their service, generally good.Cheers!"

The food, the people, and the ambience are all amazing here. I also love the ahi poke bowl here, it is my favorite.

Delicious food and service. My favorite is the fried catfish with fries and slaw and a side of green sauce. The 80s music is a bonus.

As casual dining its incredible, the salmon I had was better than I've ever made with a smoker. Others in my party were as pleased with their selections.Food: 5/5

Been here at least 25 times. Food is ALWAYS consistently good. Service gets a 4 STAR they are 9/10 solid. Place is always clean, but with limited inside seating. I recommend the Giant Shrimp, Garlic Butter on the side. Amazing dish! View menu

I visited this restaurant on Monday night for dinner, and it wasn't very busy. I was fortunate to snag a booth to myself. I ordered the swai with brown rice and added extra zucchini. The staff was friendly and quick, and I was in and out in just 30 minutes. As for parking, they share the lot with the plaza/mall, so there’s plenty of available space.

The restaurant uses self-order screens, which makes the whole experience feel more like fast food. You receive a text when your food is ready, but you can't even grab a drink while you wait (despite having paid for it) until your meal is prepared. It feels quite impersonal. So, if you're looking for a fast food vibe without the speed, this is the place for you!

I'm an avid enjoyer of seafood. You can even say I'm a seafood connoisseur. I've been to almost every single seafood place in Orange County, and it's safe to say that this California Fish Grill takes the cake. First of all, service.. unmatched. Next, sides are delicious and I can never go wrong with the SWAI. I got my entire family on this location and not a single one of them have been disappointed. Definitely coming again. View menu

I ordered fish and chips, and it took 13 minutes for my meal to arrive, despite there being fewer than 10 customers in the restaurant. When I went to pick up my order, the staff member didn't even acknowledge my presence. When I requested lemon slices, he just tossed them onto my tray, which left me quite taken aback. I really wanted tartar sauce with my fish, but I was so put off by his behavior that I didn’t even bother to ask. Isn't it customary to provide that with fish and chips? They used to have all condiments available for self-service, but since the pandemic, that has changed. They could easily offer them in small containers on a cold table. While that might help reduce waste, it sh...

I frequent the fish grill, favorite local place for seafood. Always stellar service from Salvador if you are lucky enough to eat here when he's on shift. Always a nice guy and takes care of you.As for today, my family came here to eat. I used their digital order board but it kept crashing so one of the younger employees had to take my order at a register. By the time we put in the order again and 10 mins total after the whole thing, he informs me that they are only only Togo orders although everyone around me with a working kiosk is able to dine in. I HATE places that close their dining or force you to takeout while they are still open for business. Usually I'd give them a solid 4.5 but toda...
