"I wanted to love this place but honestly it was awful. Food is extremely mediocre and expensive. Drinks even worse. Food was bland and definitely did not taste like average cuban food. The menu is very limited and on top of the fact that it was limited, they didn’t have some of the items we wanted. Lack of professionalism and knowledge of the drinks/dishes from the waitresses is extremely obvious. We ordered the birthday shots and when I asked the waitress what liquor was in the shots she said she had never tried them … I mean seriously? Bathroom was filthy.. paper rolls hanging out on top of tables, extremely unsanitary. For desert, there was nothing available from the menu except the churros and Nutella. Guess what we got? 2 churros and a spoonful or Nutella, definitely zero effort when serving dishes to make them look appetizing or creatively executed. I mean the concept/thought was smart.. but execution was awful! So much room for improvement."

We went Calle23 to celebrate my husband’s birthday, we (12 pp) had an amazing Friday night. Good food, drinks, ambience and music. Great and awesome service by our waiter Yunet. Thank you for a great evening! Definitely will return!

Our experience at Calle 23 was great. The music was fantastic! The band played for about 45 mins and we thought they were taking a 15 minute break but the break ended up being over an hour! The drinks and food were okay. Definitely came for the ambiance and the band.

I visited this restaurant to celebrate my birthday, and I had an amazing time! The food was delicious, and the drinks were equally enjoyable. The highlight of the evening was the live band—they were fantastic. Our waiter, Carlos, provided excellent service; he was incredibly friendly and attentive. Thank you for a wonderful evening! Came to this restaurant for my birthday and I could honestly say this is the worst birthday I've had so far. The food was very mediocre and not worth the price. I'm pretty sure the waffles from the chicken and waffles were eggos. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I know. They should bring back the restaurant that was here before.

Food was ok , service is not the best, dessert was bad and when the waitress asked us about the dessert we told him it wasn't good and he said well is our best dessert and that's a Cuban flan ? which is not the best answer , my partner is Cuban and we have flan many many times and that one was the worse I ever had and the flan comes with a soup spoon. The place is nice but they need to train the employees better.

We ordered an appetizer and some drinks—the drinks were good, but the calamari was subpar. The way we were treated felt completely unprofessional and rude, so we decided to ask for the check and leave. It was particularly disappointing given that the restaurant was hardly busy; there were literally only two guests inside at 7:30 on a Saturday night. Fortunately, we didn’t order entrees, as I can only imagine they would have been as disappointing as the calamari. We ended up going to a French restaurant called Gustave down the street, where the staff was incredibly accommodating and polite, and the food was fantastic! View menu

Place was super fun but unfortunately the waiter charged us twice the tip (36% of tip charged). It was bad incredible. Tried to call few times no answers. I will call again on Wednesday Feb. 1st to see if they can credit the amount doubled charged. The place was super fun. We went on my bday, it was 18 of us and we had a lot of fun but the waiter even though was really good with the service wasn't appropriate, he did some outrageous at the end. You cannot trust him. don't know if his name was Carlos but on my receipts says that name under cashier name. I hope to better rate this place and that the owner do something about it. Thank you.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was fantastic, and the service was great. However, I would rate the food at around a 6 out of 10. I was a bit disappointed that some items from the brunch menu were unavailable. I ordered the cheese croquetas, which were amazing, and my mom had the ham, which she also loved. For my main dish, I chose the chicken and waffles, which is usually my favorite brunch item, but I would only rate it a 5 out of 10. The waffles tasted like Eggo waffles, and while the chicken was good, especially with the cilantro sauce they provided, it didn't quite meet my expectations. My mom ordered the Cuban Benedict, a Latin twist on the classic eggs Benedict, which featured two po...

"If you want to find, arguably, the best bandeja paisa in Miami, this just might be the place. Not your typical hole in the wall, cheap eats but definitely a quaint and enjoyable sit down experience. Ventured here after my craving got too intense and I went to old faithful Yelp for guidance. Although relatively new, the pictures of the food really sold me and I brought some hungry souls along with me. We ordered some empanadas Colombianas, super fresh and steaming hot! The sauces they serve them with was also perfect. For entrees, we went with a Calentado Paisa the Bandeja Paisa (this one was twice the price but very hearty and more than enough for two good eaters). We also each went with some natural juices fruit limonadas coconut lime sounds odd but it works! I opted to not give the full 5 stars because of several reasons that I think they can easily fix: 1. Nicely and simply decorated but little ambiance overall adding a little authentic Colombian music or more cultural touches could help 2. The waiter was nice but kept trying to push more and more on us... even mentioning that the bandeja paisa was a decent portion but not enough for two people (it was actually more than enough and we both left stuffed) 3. Ordered a sancocho de res and although taste wasn't bad, the meat was rough and you could tell coloring had been added seems like a typical case of not having had enough time to cook it properly as it does take hours to make a proper sancocho Quality of the food is evident and I will definitely be going back to fix my next craving!"
