We discovered this restaurant while traveling through Raton and decided to stop in. We placed our order, and the service was prompt. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. The food was merely okay. It could use more spice and seasoning; the green chili lacked flavor and didn’t have any heat. The salsa was just watery tomatoes. The margarita tasted mostly like a mix, with barely any tequila. However, the carnitas were tender and flavorful. The service was friendly and prompt, but the restaurant really needs to elevate the chef's skills.

We stay at this hotel every year on our way to Colorado, and we absolutely love it! The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help. The king-size bed is perfect, and the WiFi works wonderfully. After a long day of driving, the restaurant offers an amazing dining experience. Don’t forget to look for deer in the evening around the park area in the center of the motel. Overall, we rate the rooms 5/5, service 5/5, and the location 5/5. It’s truly a great value!

The restaurant is clean and the service is friendly. However, when it comes to New Mexican cuisine, the food is disappointingly bland. The green chile tastes more like a tomatillo sauce with very little chile flavor, and the red chile lacks any hint of pepper heat. The rice follows suit, being quite flavorless. I would recommend opting for the fajitas instead of a New Mexican chile dish. Portion sizes are reasonable—enough food for what I should eat—but they feel a bit overpriced for what you receive.
