"Very disappointed!! Ate there for the 1st time with wife and 2 boys.. my prime rib was ok, but the mashed potatoes that came with it was definately powdered potatoes froma box. My esparigus was extremely wilted and half had no sprout, it was just a stem.. My son ordered the chicken kebob, that was $19.99.. He got a 9 skewer with pieces of chicken and a few vegetables, on a bed of rice.. This was something that should be on a children's menu for $8.99.. Wife and I were not pleased at all, my wife keeps saying thank goodness they never asked how our meals were, they would have got an ear full...."

Thanksgiving at the Century House was outstanding. A woman welcome, delicious food and great service. Susan, our wait person, was positively the best. Great experience.

One downside was that the bathroom was extremely small, which led to a long wait. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this place for Thanksgiving or any holiday celebration. Just be sure to make a reservation in advance!

Food was pretty good. I got the ahi tuna salad, and the raspberry vinaigrette dressing really overpowered the other flavors. The hot bread was nice and tasty. We also had to wait a long time after we were seated and after we ordered.

The food here is excellent, and the service is top-notch, with fantastic daily specials! Like any place, there can be a few minor issues from time to time, but overall, it’s a great experience! The Epicurian Shoppe is a lovely spot to browse for all sorts of take-home treats. I give it an A1 rating! View menu

Absolutely Awesome!!! I basically threw a dart at the dart board when selecting this restaurant and I hit the bullseye dead center. I’m not from the area and in town for a wedding; meet up with friends to reminisce. The atmosphere is quaint, the food is delicious and the staff was excellent. It’s places like this that gives family owned small businesses a great following.

I usually give this place a five-star rating! While my recent visit was still enjoyable with excellent service, the prime rib I ordered rare came out more medium to medium-rare. It was still tasty, but it’s easier to cook meat more if a customer prefers it that way; once it’s overcooked, there's no going back. The side dishes were fantastic! Overall, this place is a reliable choice.

I had a wonderful lunch today featuring the swordfish kabob special. I opted to substitute the rice for a potato, which came with an additional charge of $2—I'm not entirely sure why it was so much, but that's alright. The fish was fantastic! The salad was fresh, and I really enjoyed the mustard dressing. I also appreciated the warm atmosphere of the restaurant. Susan did an excellent job managing my order as well as everyone else's. Excellent waitstaff. He was very attentive and even other servers asked if we needed anything- great team work! The French onion soup was good and it was one of the few places that actually browned the cheese on top to my liking. The fried haddock sandwich was fresh and delicious and the butternut ravioli in cream sauce was phenomenal- so good that my friend only saved 1 piece to let her husband taste it. She did not want to share any more than that. Highly recommend this place.

My son took me to Century House for lunch today, and it was fantastic, just like always! Our waiter, Justin, was excellent and very attentive, and our meals arrived promptly. I ordered the Chicken Marcella with a salad, and it was delicious. I even ate two rolls! My son had the regular cut Prime Rib with mashed potatoes and zucchini summer squash, and he loved it! There was so much food that we both brought some home as leftovers. I have plenty of Chicken Marcella left for my youngest to enjoy for dinner! Next time, I’ll definitely try the Prime Rib. I can't wait to come back again soon!

"I had found Settler on Yelp and I really wanted to eat here during our one day in Salem. After walking all day, Settler was out last stop on our day in the Witch City. I never anticipated to have my best culinary experience in Salem, but here I am telling the tale. Settler has a 3 course meal style of serving. We received the chef picked appetizers. I don?t have the exact names, but it was a ricotta style dip, a pumpkin hummus, and another dish that was like a falafel. It was all phenomenal. We also decided to get a cocktail called a Yusuf Highball. It was refreshing, light and exactly what we needed after a long day of ghost stories, witch trial history and people watching. Once we had our order taken, we had settled on a few different dishes. As a starter, I chose the shrimp and it was so insanely good. I could have easily kept eating that. My husband ordered the pate and he cleared his plate. I had the Spaghetti with clams. I really should have taken a picture of the menu to have the real dish names. This was the best pasta I have ever had. It was a white sauce base. It was fresh, decadent and yet light at the same time. My husband had the beef two ways. Both him and our friend raved about it. I had a piece and it was melt in your mouth delicious. My friend?s husband has the chicken and they both said it was delicious. Although we felt stuffed to the brim, we had to have dessert. We all shared the cheesecake and the chocolate tart. Both rich yet light. Aside from the incredible food, the people there were amazingly kind. We were able to be feet away watching the chef work with his team. This was something that truly stuck with me. We even wanted to know where they had gotten their cocktails stirrers from, and the chef showed us the link. This place was a true culinary experience. It was delicious, beautifully kept, and had wonderful people. The bartender also gave us wonderful recommendations for Maine. I do plan to come back to the Witch City and Settler i"
