"We have enjoyed Chanson for many years and have often recommended it to friends. However, when we recently took some friends who had never been there before, it was quite embarrassing. In the past, the prices were reasonable compared to other nearby restaurants, and the quality and menu offerings were unique. This time, though, the prices were steep (for example, $65 for branzino), and the food combinations were too unusual to be enjoyable, like ceviche with fruit. We won't be returning until Chanson regains the exceptional quality it once had."

Good experience but overpriced. For some items marked MP (market price), we expected reasonable prices, not a rib steak at 85$. A charge for still water was surprising. Service with good will but short on experience. Restaurant near empty.

This was my first visit at the recommendation of my daughter. While we were the only patrons for lunch indoors, we were left alone to enjoy a long conversation at the conclusion of the meal. The view was lovely and the attention to detail was admirable. I chose the catch of the day which was haddock beautifully prepared with spinach and risotto. No coffee was offered and no dessert either.
