"Go through and enjoy our evening. Burgers were cooked on a large wood stove for a kind of taste. Gil the manager made sure everything was top notch. Ashley runs the kitchen like a finely tuned machine. Thank you. Chris, get our food out. Great place for an authentic Colorado experience. Very recommended!"

We love the gracious atmosphere of the huge grill and the personal service from barbecue to plate. The food is also good! A favorite appendix when we visit Westcliffe. View menu

Great food, fantastic service, amazing atmosphere and the Buds were frosty and cold. The fries had theirs skins on them and tasted delicious. Will visit there any time I'm in town.

This is the best place for Burger hands down! We love it and go here at least two or three times a month! Love the indoor fire pit for all the taste it offers, and it is warm in winter. Worth waiting and the heat! View menu

This place was worth waiting! We had 12 hungry people who had been RZRing all day. All loved their meal; Steaks, mountain oysters, bite me burgers and salads, grilled green chili and cheese sandwich and of course the Mac and cheese!

Had wings and a salad for lunch. Excellent!! Atmosphere is very cool. All food is made there. The wood burning stove for cooking is one of a kind I wonder how old that building is? 20 some miles from our property Definitely going there again!!

"We are always on the lookout for unique food, and we found just that at this restaurant. The "Gruss Gott" pizza, inspired by German flavors, was a hit for us with German sausage, sour wort, swash, sneak, and other delicious ingredients. We also tried the spicy Hawaiian pizza, which was a perfect balance of sweet and warming flavors. It was refreshing to see a pizza restaurant not overload their toppings. The starter of spinach dip and bread was above average, with a creamy artichoke dip and perfectly roasted bread providing a good mix of textures. However, there were missteps in the service department. It was disappointing to see people who arrived after us get served before us while waiting for our food. Unfortunately, this pattern continued throughout our meal. The waiter was not rude, but they were often not present, which was frustrating. The meal started off well, with the waiter informing us that the wings we ordered would take 30 minutes. We decided to order the artichoke dip to help pass the time. Thirty minutes later, our wings arrived, and the waiter said they would check on our pizza. However, they never came back to update us. After waiting for quite some time, our pizza finally arrived. By that point, another couple who arrived after us had finished eating and left. We had to flag down a waitress for a to-go box. The food was delicious, and we will definitely return for the great flavors. Hopefully, next time the service will be better. Overall, we rated our experience as 3 stars due to the combination of great food and poor service."

"Oh man, I hate to ding a small town business, but after our visit, I'm not really sure they will even care about a negative review. The only thing this place has going for it, is the view! Our first stop in our week long stay, had us super nervous for our choice of vacation spots. We arrived early evening Sunday and after the recommendation of Chappy's was closed(COVID), this was literally the only restaurant open otherwise. I should've known better, when I asked a local where to go and the answer was, ummm, the bowling alley ain't too bad There were 7 of us, so I always give the wait staff a break on that mark. Although, we were all exhausted from our long drive and fairly complacent this time around. Haha The prices make you feel like you really have a chance at a good meal, but that's a trick. A variety of different menu items were ordered and not a single thing was worth eating. I ordered fish and chips. Grease flavored yuck. Burgers. Frozen blah ness. Chicken wrap. Old tasting. Kids hot dog wasn't even warmed up. Coleslaw was hot. Fries were cold. We waited for our food to be delivered for an hour and that was even after asking the waitress, who seemed stressed over her two other tables, how much longer it would take. The topping came when they forgot my husband's burger and we waited an additional 15 minutes for his food. Most of us left him at the table to eat alone, while we took a walk behind the restaurant. One of us even had to ask for a fresh bun, since ours had mold on it. Our drinks were empty. Our plates were full. The waitress became non existent, never a good idea. The fellow patrons dining were super friendly and we enjoyed the extended visit with them, but I can make friends anywhere, I came to eat and we were left terribly unsatisfied. I wish this business luck in their ventures, but as an outsider, management needs to take a long look at how things are being ran and head back to the drawing board. Best advice to visitors, skip this restaurant, head across the street to the market and grill up your own food. I guarantee you'll beat this place, even if you only grilled spam."
