"I really hate to do this because the young lady at front desk was so kind.. this has got to be the blandest chicken I?ve ever had in my life. No flavor. Update the red bean side was a nice portion but honestly they were just as flavorlessas the chicken. So I had to reduce to 1 star. If you have hypertension or any other ailment that prevents you from toleratingany seasonings then this is the place for you. Bland land."

Waited 40 minutes for a 2 piece with mac n cheese. After getting it, the chicken was so bland. No flavor whatsoever other than grease. Had to dump salt on it to make it edible. The lady at the counter was also extremely rude which didn?t help theexperience at all. Never coming back.

Have I been gatekeeping this place? Yes. Best wings in the city? Also, yes. A sad, but guilt-free admission: I've been going here consistently for a year now and it's been great every time. Wings are large, well-fried, and the sauces are incredible. I recommend to anyone who's a fan of wings.

Definitely a hidden gem! I got the fried chicken and of all things, creamed spinach. Both were incredible. Chicken was like it was friend in a black iron skillet, crispy and juicy. The chicken is not over battered and this allows the taste to explode! They have sauces for dipping. I especially liked the mango habanero and their take on teriyaki. I'll definitely be back for their wings. Thank you Yelp for suggesting this mouth watering delicacy. :o)

For a small, unassuming chicken place, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the chicken is among the best I've ever tasted. It's always served hot and fresh. The downside is that it does take some time to get your order, since everything is made fresh to order. However, this is not an issue at all—just call ahead and you can enjoy your meal at the restaurant after about 20 minutes. While I do enjoy the spiciness of Popeye's, when it comes to quality, Chaps truly cannot be beaten!
