"This was our second visit as new residents of Mt. Gilead, and I can’t say it was a good one. The first time was promising, but this second experience was disappointing. To start, the paper menu had old prices crossed out and new ones handwritten, and the online prices weren’t up to date. It felt unprofessional, but I thought I would give it a chance. When I called to place a carry-out order, the younger guy who answered the phone was dismissive and unhelpful. He was curt and unpleasant, which caught me off guard as I always try to be polite and understanding. I asked if I could have a dish made spicy, and he insisted they don’t do that, even though they had prepared the same dish that way for me before. I then inquired about another dish that is supposed to be spicy and asked if I could have it even spicier. Instead of helping, he argued with me about how I wanted my food prepared. My order was ready in 10 minutes, and I picked it up, only to find that when I got home, the entire order of General Tso’s had spilled all over the bottom of the bag. The egg rolls were soggy, and the packaging was a mess. I had encountered this issue on my first visit, but I had let it slide, thinking it was my fault. The sweet and sour chicken was missing its sauce entirely. After a quick 10-minute drive back, I called to explain that my order had not been packed correctly and was missing the main ingredient for the sweet and sour chicken. The same guy answered and told me the sauce should have been in a small container. I insisted that it was not included and asked if there was anything they could do to make it right, as both my meals were ruined. Instead of being understanding, he told me that I needed to be more careful with my food and that it wasn’t his fault. I tried to argue my point, pointing out the evidence of missing sauce, the bad packaging, and the soggy egg rolls. Reluctantly, he offered to have sweet and sour sauce ready for me, but I simply wanted an apology instead of more hassle. He still refused to acknowledge the mistake, so I told him to forget it. Overall, I am left feeling very unhappy with this whole experience. I wanted to support a local business, but I’ll be looking elsewhere for my Chinese food from now on!"

I have been getting food from here since the opened quite a few years ago, and it has always been good. It is always steaming hot and full of flavor. The only thing I am not a fan of is their wonton soup. Other than that, it's pretty good.

Asian food at a good price. I tried them a few years ago during covid, was not impressed. Went back last week, wow was the food good. The dish I had was nice, spicy, fried rice was like the old days when they put veggies in. I'll be back for another dinner soon. View menu

we keep trying, but this last trip will likely be our last. chicken dishes should have chicken in them at the very least. if you like sauce, with celery carrots, maybe a piece of chicken, and if you're lucky, it just might have some flavor. I'm not sure why anyone raves about the Rangoon. It's horrible and very fishy tasting. not a place I would recommend after several attempts that the low quality hasn't improved.

We have eaten take out from them on many occasions. Recently we went there on a Saturday and they weren't open. The sign read, it was due to personnel issues. This seems to be happening more often. They used to be pretty reliable. If you can't count on an establishment to be open, it ceases to be your first thought of an option when you are hungry. They have good food but they maybe should hire some outside help, other than family.
