"The baked potato was small and dried out, while only the broccoli and carrots were fresh. The chicken was thin, greasy, and disappointing. The table was sticky, and the bathrooms left much to be desired. I wouldn't return, and even though it was a Friday night, only two other tables were occupied, which was quite embarrassing. The busboy came in and changed the baseball game we were watching to something else, then left. We requested that the baseball game be put back on the television. I refused to pay for the meal, and when they asked if I wanted to take the leftovers home, I declined. The waitress did offer us a $10 credit for our next meal and deducted $5 from the bill, but I said that we had no intention of returning and didn’t want to pay for a meal that was subpar and might have poisoned my partner. We felt we shouldn’t have to pay at all for the poor food and service we received, especially since we got our meal well after everyone else was done. Eventually, we left, and I had other things to attend to at home."

I've been going to Chicago Joe's for years, a staple in the neighborhood. Our waitress was very nice reasonable drink and food specials.

It’s not what it used to be. The service was excellent, and the restaurant was quite empty, but the food didn’t meet the standards I remembered from a few years ago. View menu

Fantastic restaurant! The staff is amazing, the service is excellent, and the food is delicious. They offer traditional American dishes, but also serve tacos and a great selection of beers.

Joe's never disappoints. The Burgers are always great and the they have very delicious spicy **** Mary's. Pedro was our server and he was very friendly and helped us decide what to get. Also the prices there can't be beat, they have a lot of great deals.

The chicken sandwiches are enormous! The photo doesn't accurately capture their size. The Bacon Jam was incredible! My son devoured his in just 5 minutes, while I couldn't even finish half of mine. We'll definitely return when we visit our daughter again. View menu

If you're expecting fine dining service, this isn't the place for you. However, this local pub and restaurant is a gem. The atmosphere is friendly, the drinks are chilled, and the food is deliciously hearty. Aisa, Corine, and Julia made us feel right at home during our visit, and Carlos's cooking is outstanding. Highly recommended!

First off, everyone was very nice and tried to be helpful. When I made the reservation, I specifically said that my husband is in a wheelchair. They didn't seem to know anything about it and it is not easy to get into the restaurant itself. I was shown a side door, but the one into the restaurant faces out and it was very hard to get the wheelchair into it through the 2 doors. Plus, the bathrooms are in the bar area, which is up3 stairs. Definitely not accessible. The food was good, servers were nice, but toward the end, there was a private party being set up in our room and we ended up leaving earlier than planned.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
