"My husband and I have always adored visiting this restaurant for date nights. The food is fantastic, but unfortunately, the service has declined for us recently. In August, we celebrated my birthday with my parents and friends who were newcomers to the place. Our waitress made a few mistakes with our order, but we were understanding and she corrected them. However, when the bill arrived and we requested to split it three ways, she became quite upset and rude, insisting that we should have informed her in advance. She continued complaining openly, which cast a shadow over our evening. I felt embarrassed for my friends who were experiencing the place for the first time. Her behavior was unprofessional and clearly showed that she was unwilling to do any extra work. As a result, we ended up leaving her a smaller tip. We haven't returned since then, but with my husband's birthday coming up, we decided to give it another shot. We called to make a reservation for 12 people, knowing we needed to request separate checks this time. However, they informed us that they absolutely would not split any checks. This was incredibly disappointing, as it left us with the options of either everyone bringing cash or just one person paying a hefty $400 bill. We decided not to go, and it’s frustrating that one disgruntled waitress seems to be in charge over there. Chiccarine's, we love your food, but unfortunately, we won't be bringing a large group to enjoy it!"

Love that this is a locally owned restaurant. Kind of get tired of chains. We really enjoyed the food and are looking forward to eating their again.

Always fantastic! The portions are huge, and the staff is wonderful. The bartenders are friendly, and I believe they have the best bartender in the area! View menu

Pleasant surprise. Great menu. Our server was fantastic. Bacon wrapped monk fish was very nice, chicken saliva was excellent. Finished with home made almond chocolate mousse and chocolate peanut butter cake.

I 'm all about the mussels and martinis! Food and drinks are always 5 star. The place could definitely use an interior update. First time I went there was on a date in the 80s. As they say some things never change.

From outside to inside, you would not expect the interior to be so intimate. Family business, you can say they all take care of their customers. Our waitress told us to relax and just enjoy our food, not even hurry us. Delicious Entrees but make sure you make room for dessert! View menu

I've been dining at Chiccarine's for several years, and the food is consistently excellent with generous portions. The service is attentive and friendly; Janice is an exceptional waitress! On Thursday nights, I typically enjoy the all-you-can-eat mussels in white sauce. I've also tried the scallop dish and the chicken parmesan, both of which are delicious and come in large servings. I always find myself too full for dessert!

I also want to address a comment I read about splitting checks. The charm of this restaurant lies in its old-school approach; it's not reliant on computers. So, if a group of six comes in to dine, splitting the bill will need to be done manually. The fact that this restaurant is still open during these challenging times speaks volumes about the loyalty of its patrons. I encourage you to visit without hesitation, just remind your guests to bring any cash they'll need, and there shouldn't be any issues with splitting the bill. This is one of my favorite places, and it’s important to appreciate the hard work of those who are currently serving you.

"As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with a fire crackling in the fireplace. We had a 5 pm reservation for a table for two, nestled in the back room near the pizza oven prep area. It was nice and quiet back there, especially since the bar area tended to be a bit loud. Our server, Greg, was friendly and went over the food and drinks menu with us before returning to address our questions and offer us a wine tasting. On this chilly, blustery evening, we kicked things off with a bowl of Parc Onion Soup, featuring sweet onions, turkey stock, aged Comté, grated raclette, and crunchy onions. WOW, WOW, WOW—what an incredible blend of flavors and textures! It warmed our souls and set the stage for the delicious food to come. This onion soup has now reached the top tier of my favorites, rivaling one I enjoyed at a French restaurant in Cold Spring, NY, many years ago, where the addition of port wine made their version exceptional. Next, we shared the grilled Spanish octopus. I’ve held all octopus dishes to a high standard ever since I had a remarkable one eight years ago in Mainz, Germany. However, Parc Bistro’s octopus dish has definitely claimed the top spot now. It came with roasted cashew hummus, merguez sausage, Gigantes beans, sun-dried peppers, shaved fennel, roasted cashews, verjus, and smoked olive oil. The flavor profile was heavenly, making it the perfect dish for a blustery night. For our third course, we enjoyed the classic étouffée, featuring Cajun roux, the trinity (peppers, onions, and celery), andouille sausage, blackened shrimp, and buttermilk biscuits. This comforting dish was bursting with flavor—the smoky essence blended perfectly with the pepper and the rich red gravy. As for the wine, we started with a glass of GLS Albarino and ended up having three glasses in total (one each and one to share). Don’t forget to check out our food pictures, as the presentation was truly a work of art. We will definitely be returning. Bon Appétit!"
