"There was a little bit of a wait for seating on Wednesday evening (around 4:45 pm to 5:00 pm . Our server, Nicky (spelling? , was extremely pleasant and patient as half of our party showed up a little late, so it interrupted the ordering process. She graciously offered to put in whatever was already ordered and come back after we were done greeting the rest of our group. The food was fantastic! I ordered the mauka and makai. My meat was so tender, I was able to cut it with my fork! I ordered an adult beverage, the li hing mui. It was delicious! A very unique drink indeed. They also offered it as a virgin drink, so the keikis don't have to feel left out. The atmosphere was dress casual. Hawaiian shirt and dress shorts is appropriate for this open air dining room that overlooks a pond and gardens. I highly recommend this dining experience. You won't regret it!"

"Oh my gosh, you guys, it was incredibly delicious! This is my go-to spot for a quick bite. It's a little hole-in-the-wall place that you really have to see to believe. I always order the LBS Special, which lets you choose a poke and a meat option, and I typically add the shrimp tempura for just a dollar. Plus, the LBS Special comes with a complimentary drink! They serve multi-grain rice, which isn’t my favorite, but it’s fine because it feels healthier to eat. Haha! My top choices are the ahi poke, spicy ahi, and kalua pig. I used to love the kalbi, but since they changed how they serve it, I’ve stopped ordering it—I don’t want to deal with meat on a big bone. Parking can be hit or miss, so my advice is to call in your order a few minutes ahead of time. Local Boy Sushi is truly a hidden gem in Kaneohe!!!"

"Where do I start? The spot itself is dirty, poorly lit, falling apart, ants everywhere, and HOT. We were dripping in sweat the entire time. Was the AC even on, or is the owner trying to $kimp on that, too? It was so uncomfortably hot. Or maybe it was just our body reacting to the horrible food. We ordered four dishes and ended up only eating about 1/3 of them because our stomachs couldn’t handle it anymore. The chips were stale. The ribeye steak was not only tiny (maybe 5 oz) but so chewy and bland… oh, and it cost over $30!!! The chimichanga was too salty. The beef quesadilla was way too seasoned and greasy. The nachos were probably the worst, a plate full of fried stale tortillas dripping in oil with maybe a handful of toppings. I get everything is expensive in Hawaii, but this place is ridiculously overpriced for the quality of food and lack of AC you’re getting. I’m kicking my butt for craving nachos because it ended up costing us over $100 and a sick belly. We made it home just in time to run to the bathroom (after stopping at Adela’s for a cheesecake). I think we were charged for the ants all over our napkins too… Disclaimer: I’m Mexican, but I really like Mexican American food. Avoid this place. If you’re in Kaneohe and have over $100 to spend on dinner, try Haleiwa Joes instead. You won’t be disappointed."

"Every time we come to Oahu, we visit and dinate in Zia's European Caffe. It is a hidden jewel in Kaneohe that the food is absolutely delicious. Stephen and Samson are great servers! Informative, friendly, helpful and always ready to go the extra mile. I usually love all their offers. The salads taste and look fresh and quite delicious. The House Specials are laborious and can feed 2 people. I love the sweet potatoes ravioli, Aubergines Sorrentino, Chicken Piscataway, Primavera and the rest of the Pasta dishes. The cook cooks like a master chef and her presentation is excellent! I feel like one of the chefs who tastes their delicious creations. And the desserts are heavenly! My Nabeby's Fav is the bread pudding and mines is the chocolate mousse cake. You can't go wrong and for Oahu, the food, 5 star service and prices are great. This is our place. Please come and see yourself, it is worth the trip!"
