"Very happy to see how busy they were last night with so many excuses, but it has our in that a dinner in our bag was wrong, and after the call I had a choice of a loan or went back to the dinner I had ordered. The choice of the latter, the restaurant was still blackened, so it took some time to go my meal. They also left one of the two spring rolls ordered, but I didn't want to wait. Everything was good, though my meal was interrupted. Beef roasted rice was always a single order and chose it last night, we saw why. The extra dollar plus. The Moo Shu Shrimp with four pancakes was worth waiting. The sesame shrimp we got mistaken had too much coating and was ordered $2.00 more than the item. The fried chicken wings were smaller than in the past, but are still crisp with a nice taste. Good Chinese cuisine. Expect Friday night to do so much, early, late or check your bag before you go! Three combination dishes ordered at the beginning of Jan., the rice fried with an egg roll and pork come all enjoyed Kung Po chicken with peanuts, crispy orange chicken and shrimps and chicken combs. The sesame beef was tender and tasteful with requested brown rice, which was better than most but still brown rice. Two of the pull-out dishes had their usual perfectly cooked broccoli and two had some that needed more cooking time. Our dinner here at the end of October was good: canton soup, two shrimp rolls, an egg roll and a shrimp roll, steamed vegetable dumplings, sweet and sour pigs and their special menu dish China Delight, as their name. The amazed soup here is always tasty whether it is the regular or house special that comes with more ingredients such as chicken, shrimp, pork, mushrooms, broccoli and carrot. The muted plant dumps I ordered when I read, they were half as thick as the traditional pork, but my partner found them a little bland and preferably still the pig. The varied egg rolls all have a thumb for texture and taste. The sweet and sour pork was abundant with beautiful pork in the roasted toastbatter. I wanted to try her crispy duck, but they said there would be no more duck today. I chose her China Delight with shrimp, chicken and scallops with dried mushrooms in a garlic sauce. It was okay, but I won't order it again if there are many things I prefer. The scallops were two tiny bay scallops I finally found in the court. Some of the chicken was stringy and there were many vegetables in the mix that were not mentioned on the menu. We liked the spicy sauce. I look forward to trying the duck. When someone who moved back to CT after many years in NY and CA and moved to a rural area, I thought I would not find good Chinese food again. I've always loved the food that this restaurant has prepared for us and I wouldn't say otherwise. You're really nice people, too. For over fifteen years they left the addition of a sought-after ice in our fried rice perhaps twice? Fortunately, they put it in our next order for free when I mentioned it to them. Odd time now. Thanks for the delicious meal. Our egg rolls, spring roll, steamed pork dumplings, chicken teeth, house special fried rice, sweet and acidic chicken, shrimp and chicken with broccoli were all great. When they gave us our order, they said they were from spring rolls, so they gave us three egg rolls. We were all right, but to our surprise, they were also in our pocket, maybe the one spring role they had left. They also gave us a free soda. Very thoughtful."

The food is tasty, the service is quick, and there are plenty of parking spots available. I didn't dine in, though.

This General Tso's Chicken is the best food in town.... I have often been here every year, more advertising has become more popular, and their taste has changed over time. Now it is much better than last time, every year, its taste changes, always better and better.... I love it

I absolutely love this place! I've been visiting this Chinese restaurant since I was a child. As a family-owned establishment, they truly pour their hearts into the food they serve. Being disabled, I’m unable to pick up my meals, but they have consistently delivered my food every Friday and Saturday night after 8 PM. Their service is outstanding, and not many restaurants offer this level of convenience. It's truly wonderful!

"I’m giving this place 2 stars only because it was clean and the atmosphere was acceptable. If you’re visiting from out of town, I suggest looking for other options. In my opinion, this place was quite disappointing. To start, the table next to us actually sent their food back as soon as they were seated, which raised a red flag for me. I really dislike leaving negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I honestly can’t understand how this restaurant is still operating. I ordered a pizza, clam chowder, and a chicken dish. **Pizza:** The sauce tasted like it came from a can, and the overall quality reminded me of what you'd find at Chuck E. Cheese. I got half topped with eggplant and chicken, but the eggplant was terrible—either canned or rotten, and completely inedible. I expected chicken parm strips on the pizza, but instead received dry, unseasoned, and unbreaded chicken breast. **Clam Chowder:** This was actually not bad, but given the quality of the other dishes, I wouldn't be surprised if it was from a can. **Chicken Dish:** I believe I ordered the chicken napoletano. It was topped with eggplant, mozzarella, and vodka sauce. The chicken appeared boiled with no seasoning or breading, making it bland and tough. The entire dish lacked flavor, and I found myself adding a lot of salt just to get a few bites down. Overall, I truly don’t enjoy giving negative feedback, but I would describe the food as pretty terrible. To put it in perspective, my experience here was comparable, if not worse, than meals I had during my 10 years of service in the army. One last thing: I ordered a glass of red wine but had to send it back because it was corked. It left me worried about how long it had been sitting open under the bar. In short, save your money and seek out a better dining experience!"

"The Trib is consistent. That's why they're still in business and one of my favorite things about this restaurant. I have eaten here much more often than show my reviews and there is never anything negative to report. At the end of February 2022 we enjoyed steamed mussels with garlic bread, as it should be, a sequence of baked crabs and a special with sole with shrimps. Their salads are still plentiful, the baked rolls fresh and service is always friendly. Prime Rib Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. This Mother's Day, 5/10/20, The Tributary gave us a wonderful meal. Two main rib dinner, an oriental salmon and a crumpe sole. Four salads with many ingredients came with dinner, (multiple dressing options their blue cheese is exceptional and house Italian the right mix) There were also two bags of varied rolls and breads with butter packages. We decided to give The Tributary our business because they are really nice conscientious people, an institution in this part of the CT and the food is always reliable good. They recognized us as an estimated customer, gave us two free desserts! A slice of lime cake, which was one of the best I ever had, (and I bake a great self) and a slice of lemon balm, also delicious. Very thoughtful. In summary, the two Prime Rib orders were ordered, medium rare and medium well cooked. Both came with au jus on the side. The accompanying potatoes (not whipped) were tasteful, and the carrots, when someone who never served carrots with steak, somehow really worked here. There are few restaurants today that offer popover with dinner. Impressive to themselves for this reason, they are bright, large and the right density. The oriental salmon was tender and sweet. The green bean side was not undercooked nor limp. The rice pilaf was rice pilaf. Baked crab sole with crab plugs was satisfied with real crab meat and Hollandaise sauce. Green beans and rice were sides. I post the photos of this meal together with a few others I found in my photo archive of other fine menu choices, the hot opened Turkey Benedict Sandwich, a salad with roasted chicken strips and two coffee drinks. Fine, reliable restaurant that has served the area for decades, be it lunch or dinner. Full menu consisting of everything you would expect to see. Plentiful salad bar with many add to options and courtesy service. There is a separate bar room from the dining room. They are closed on Mondays. For Christmas they all go with decorations when you are in the mood to be happy."

"--- We enjoyed two quick dinners here that included house rolls and salads along with our wine, which was just what we needed. The Veal Francaise had a light, crispy coating and was juicy, served in a delicious butter, lemon, and white wine sauce. The Grilled Salmon Giordano was a small portion but cooked to perfection. Both dishes came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. However, the rolls were baked a bit too long for my liking. As for the ambiance, the choice of music videos playing on the flat screen in the main dining area didn’t seem to fit the atmosphere of an Italian restaurant, making it a bit distracting while we were trying to eat. However, I have to commend Noli's for their delivery service when we ordered for a group of eight during a lovely late October day in 2022. We placed an order for two pizzas – one cheese and one sausage with green peppers. The staff met us right on time with hot pizzas, plastic cups of soda as we requested, and provided us with napkins and utensils. The pizzas were delicious! Connecticut really has some of the best pizza around; whether you choose a high-end place or a casual spot, the quality is always impressive. Initially, after eating here in early August, I would have rated Noli's around a 3.6, but looking back, it was a decent meal in a comfortable environment with attentive service. Our waitress informed us that this restaurant is now called Chef's Bar and Grill, and Noli's was the name of the previous owner. When we first arrived for a quiet midday dinner with no other customers present, we found the interior quite attractive. There’s a cozy fireplace that they light during the colder months, which adds to the charm. Our waitress brought us two freshly baked garlic rolls, which were delightful in both taste and texture. The drinks from the bar were on the smaller side but decent. We ordered the Calamari as an appetizer, which was average. Other starters included wings, bruschetta, mozzarella sticks, potato skins, and shrimp cocktail. The salads that accompanied our main courses were quite appealing, featuring a generous mix of ingredients like black olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, and shredded cheese, with pleasant dressings. For my main, I tried the linguine with white mussel sauce. It’s been a while since I’ve ordered this dish everywhere, not because I dislike it, but as I’ve mentioned before, it can be difficult to get right – often overcooked. In this case, two mussels were tough, but four were tender. I appreciated the combination of fresh mussels with chopped ones, which made the dish feel complete. Overall, the linguine was worth ordering. My companion had fried clams, which were more reminiscent of mushy clam strips and likely used frozen clam pieces. They were unimpressive. The sides that came with this order were a mix of cold fries and warm ones. Overall, while there were some hits and misses, the overall experience was enjoyable. I would give it a rating of 4.0."
