"China One offers the typical Chinese-American menu, and I ordered the beef Chow Mei Fun and the beef lo mein. To my surprise, the dishes had a more Singaporean influence than Cantonese, featuring angel hair rice noodles. But that’s not a bad thing at all; in fact, this is how I’ll be ordering it from now on. It was absolutely delicious! While I can only comment on those two dishes, I noticed that all the ingredients were fresh and crisp. Nothing was soggy or improperly cooked, and you could tell that care went into their preparation. I highly recommend trying the Beef Chow Mei Fun!"

I've never had a bad meal at this restaurant. The food is always fresh, served quickly, and reasonably priced.

This place serves the best egg rolls and fried rice around. It's affordable and quick, making it a great option. The staff is always friendly too! View menu

I've explored much of mid-coast Maine and beyond, and I can't find a better General Tso's chicken anywhere. I order it at least once a week, and no other places even come close!

The atmosphere is great, and the staff are wonderful, pleasant, and friendly. Overall, I would say it offers the best Chinese food in Belfast, but it's not suitable for dining in the restaurant.

The food and service were excellent. The portion sizes were generous as well. I ordered takeout for dinner, and the price per person was between $10 and $20. I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5. Highly recommended!

I had a great experience at Theke, where the service was friendly and welcoming. The portion sizes were generous, and there was a wonderful variety on both the lunch and dinner menus. Our food arrived surprisingly quickly, within just 5 to 7 minutes, and it lived up to the standards of classic Chinese cuisine. The restaurant has around a dozen tables, providing a cozy atmosphere, and the restroom facilities were clean and well-maintained. If you find yourself in this area, I highly recommend visiting China One!

"We drove home from a foliage hike with our seven dogs, sitting outside on a warm autumn day and stumbled on this perfectly located Italian pizzeria in Belfast. What a fantastic find! Although they welcomed all our dogs (sight unseen) when we asked if we could bring a dog into the outdoor café section, we were happy to sit with us only our most tedious, best behaved papillon dog. From our table, we were just a short distance and in full view of our van in the nearby parking lot, so we could easily monitor the dogs waiting for us in the van. The server,Steve, was attentive and provided many menu information as soon as we sat. My husband had a house drink called Gin Thyme and it was nice. He had a pizza with goat cheese and artichoke. I had the Carpenter Calzone, which looked enormously on the plate, but the dough was slightly soft with a delicate chewing texture. The selection of cheese, fresh tomato and spinach was surprisingly nicely paired with the pear apple wine recommended by Steve. We have made it with the house Tira misu Dessert, which is made daily and is served in a generous goblet with a lot of creamy Mascarpone cheese and just the correct amount of espresso soaked lady fingers with a touch of liqueur. We plan to return soon without the dogs and dressed for a date night, although it is nice to know that we are always for a casual dinner with a dog or two, also."

"I don't normally post negative reviews. Generally speaking I think a lot of places are trying their best and I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. However, I had such a truly terrible experience at Bell the Cat that I feel compelled to share my experience as a warning to others. Simply put, I ended up paying $80 for a brunch for *two* that wasn't worth $40. The good: The mimosa was good. Was it worth $10? Maybe. The salmon bagel (which I ordered as take out along with brunch) was excellent. Lots of smoked salmon and well worth the $13. The bad: The poached eggs I had with my red flannel hash were rock solid. I might as well have had two hard boiled eggs. The toast was cold, and the fried chicken served with the chicken and waffles was so salty it was inedible. The ugly: Being charged $3 for substituting maple syrup with the chicken and waffles, only to have a bottle of syrup brought with all the condiments. Paying a $1 upcharge for veggies on the salmon bagel. At no point was either charge mentioned by the cashier. I also want to take a moment to call out Bell the Cat's business model. I have no qualms with paying a premium for good service, but Bell the Cat is effectively a sandwich shop with pretensions of being a high-end full service restaurant. By collecting payment first there is zero accountability (aside from angry reviews like this one). Not a single staff person asked me about the quality of the food, and since I did not have an actual server there was no easy way to express my frustration or even find out where to get water (because you have to do that for yourself too). I will not be going back, and I strongly encourage others to spend their money elsewhere too."
