"I'm sorry to say that our recent experience at Chinatown Cafe will be our last. We visited during prime dinner hours, and unfortunately, half of the dishes we tried were overcooked or burned. The pieces of General Tso's chicken were mostly just breading, which was disappointing. The egg rolls, which used to be my favorite in town, were unappetizing this time; I had to spit out the one bite I took because something seemed really off. The value for the price is quite lacking. It used to be our go-to Chinese buffet in the area, but it appears the ownership changed about a year ago, based on other reviews. It’s disheartening to see a once-great restaurant decline so significantly. We won’t be returning!"

Love their pepper steak. And egg rolls. One of the best Chinese places to eat at in Denton. Staff is always so welcoming.

Hibachi chicken is excellent as is just about every other dish. Careful! Sweet sour sauce is boiling hot with giant ladle and tiny container.

The dining experience was outstanding, far better than any buffets I've tried. Moreover, our waiter was laid-back and friendly, which enhanced our overall enjoyment. We genuinely appreciated the high quality of the food. View menu

They have a decent selection of items as well as a station where you can have something made to your liking. It is buffet food so not the best quality which is the only reason I put it at 4 stars. I have eaten here for over 10 years and never gad a bad experience.

I was greeted with kindness, the food tasted delicious, also I had four plates. All of this as soon as they opened. I can say this is the best spot for Chinese food to be honest and I typically drop 40-100 dollars on Chinese food on movie night. Pretty chill spot high key and there are stores you can visit nearby even a park.

came with a group of seven and all stayed well fed! as a child he came here and he has the test of the time. I was glad to see that they had all the clips still: orangehuh, sweet and acidichuh, knödel, lo my, etc. They used to have a soft servier machine, but now offer instead of ice cups. I praised her zimtzuckerbunken and was pleased that they still did it. as in childhood. View menu

The servers were pleasant, attentive, and the decor was generalized Chinese buffet. However, the food was a a slightly different story. The meats in general were cooked well, which was nice., but most dishes were definable not at the correct temperature. The issue is the flavoring of most dishes were either too salty, way too sweet, or in general just not a flavor I would want to eat again. Was it terrible, no. Bad, definitely in flavor.

Chinatown continues to be one of the most enjoyable and budget-friendly places to eat in Denton. You can readily get a large sesame chicken with an extra side of rice for less than $20, which offers enough food for four meals. The menu is packed with other delicious dishes worth sampling, including the dumplings, beef and broccoli, Thai-style yellow curry, and sweet and sour chicken, among others. Every delivery also includes some extra treats. I have been enjoying meals from here for many years and have seldom been let down.

"When you first enter this Japanese sushi restaurant, you’re welcomed with "irasshaimase," which means "please come in." If you're unsure of what to order, Chef James and his talented team are eager to recommend something delicious. Just tell them your preferences, and they'll guide you to the best options. Today, I tried the ono sushi with black pepper, creamy ono sushi, and the rock 'n' roll sushi. The rock 'n' roll sushi features a delightful mix of tuna, salmon, snapper, and avocado, all wrapped in cucumber. It was incredibly fresh, light, and refreshing, showcasing high-quality ingredients. We ended our meal with a flan and a bite of lemon to enhance the silky flavor. I didn’t take many pictures, but I assure you, I ordered plenty! The quality and freshness of the food are excellent for the price. When I bring my family, I have a little one who isn't a sushi fan and opts for fried chicken. Another child loves California rolls, making ordering a breeze! Meanwhile, my partner and I savor all kinds of delicious sushi and sushi-fusion dishes. There's truly something for everyone. On our last visit to the bar, we met a chef who frequents this place because it’s his favorite, and his friend brings him here weekly. They introduced us to many other mouthwatering items on the menu. So, if you’re looking for a tasty sushi spot that serves fresh and creative dishes, head to South Denton and support this local business. The restaurant has new owners now—Chef James and his family—who took over recently. When you go, find a spot at a table, the bar, or even a stand. Enjoy the lively atmosphere, and don’t hesitate to ask for their recommendations. One last tip: when you finish your meal, remember to practice saying "gochisosama deshita" to express your gratitude for the meal!"
