"The service here is mediocre, the food lacks flavor, and while the restaurant is somewhat clean, it has its issues. You place your order at the counter, and then it’s brought to your table. The prices are quite reasonable, with a meal and a drink costing around $6-8. The staff member who attended to me seemed rushed, darting around and chatting with others while I was trying to place my order. The fried rice was unremarkable, the chicken was bland and dry, but I did find the hot and sour soup to be quite good. Portions are generous. The dining area feels clean enough, but the bathroom is dimly lit and not very pleasant. To top it off, they play CNN, which is far from enjoyable—nothing like listening to dismal news (just a note: I feel the same about all major news channels) while trying to enjoy my lunch."

Hands down, the best in town. Nice staff, good prices, what could you ask for more?

It's okay to eat. I called the command and had to wait 10 minutes for our dinner because they didn't tell me on the phone that they were from what I ordered.

This place used to be pretty good, when they had Magic Wok as competition. Now, with no real competition, they don't seem to care that much. Raised prices, and reduced quality, we probably won't be back... View menu

we love eating in chow’s express. one of my favorites is the shrimp mushroom deluxe. the Teriyaki chicken and the pot stickers make a good starter. it is almost food chinese, not imagination, could use a good cleaning and rebuilding, but in a hurry and want it hot, try chow’s

chows express serves to take out chineses, who desire any guilty joy they desire. the personal is always pleasant and professional. her sign has proudly announced same owner new name for the better part of 20 years. they follow the same philosophy with the great food they offer. it is always consistently great.

the food was okay, and the service was very nice. my egg roll was finished and scattered on the first bite. the hunan bark was so hot that I could not really eat it when I was able to be at midday. the SS chicken was a kind of disappointment, because they really don't get much of a bun, but a small row of it. the Teriyaki chicken was amazing, I would go back for it! This was the worst meal I've ever had. I waited 25 minutes for my food, and the bourbon chicken turned out to be more of a watered-down sweet and sour sauce with grilled chicken. As for the combination lo mein, I found what looked like a chicken heart in it! I'm not sure what that was, but I will never return to this place. Please don't waste your time here—head further up York Street to Magic Wok instead. To top it all off, I found a hair in my lo mein. I was so disgusted that I couldn't even finish my meal.

I experienced dismissive service at the register; it took nearly five minutes for the staff member to acknowledge my presence. When I requested my order to be made "for here," she promptly stuffed it into a bag as tightly as possible right in front of me. The kung pao chicken, priced at $10, contained about an ounce of chicken and an overwhelming 15 ounces of celery and pineapple—quite frankly, it was inedible. As for the rangoons, they had no filling whatsoever; they were just crispy, fried dough. Overall, this was possibly the second worst Asian food I've ever encountered.
