"I typically prefer not to write negative reviews, but I believe it's important for everyone to feel safe and comfortable in any establishment. I was quite disturbed when I overheard a non-black DJ casually using the N-word at the bar. People go to bars to enjoy themselves, and it's both unnecessary and disrespectful to allow such behavior without consequences. There are countless ways to engage and entertain an audience that don't involve racial slurs. I sincerely hope the management addresses this issue seriously to create a more inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for future guests."

What a fantastic little bar on 6th Street! They serve food, and the live music was an excellent added touch!

The honey jalapeño fried chicken tacos are simply exquisite! The ambiance is lovely, and the artwork is genuinely impressive!

The drinks were really tasty at the Chupacabra. I had the hibiscus margarita. I really enjoyed it. The bartenders were super nice and friendly too! Definitely has a cool atmosphere in here!

This is a great spot with live music inside, but it's quite dirty. We ordered from a friendly bartender, but aside from that, the service was lacking. The tacos were just okay—not memorable at all. View menu

The staff here is amazing, and the rooms are beautiful. It's ideally situated near 6th Street, Moody Amphitheater, and directly across from Stubbs. Opt for a stay here—you definitely won't be disappointed!

The cocktails and tacos at this restaurant are absolutely delightful! To the left of the entrance, there's a rather eerie statue—don’t worry, it’s not a real chupacabra. Or perhaps it is, just frozen for a thousand years!

The drinks were decent, but I have to say I've had better Mexican food in central Kentucky. The queso tasted like Tostitos canned cheese, and the salad dressing was just Italian vinaigrette instead of the cilantro lime they claimed it would be. View menu

What an amazing restaurant! If you're in search of a hidden gem that provides a unique experience, this place on 6th Street is the ideal choice. For dinner, I had the avocado salad and the chupacabra barbacoa taco, which was generously topped. It was absolutely delicious!

Typical bar atmosphere but nice selection of unusual but delicious street tacos (along with other Mex stuff but I didn't look past the tacos) and craft beers. Tacos are a decent size and could have stopped at two Honey Jalapeno Fried Chicken and Baja (Fried Catfish) but had to try the Chipotle Orange Brisket which was probably my favorite. Pecan Porter was a nice complement to the tacos! Staff was very friendly. I would return.

"I literally just made a review but I’m going to make another one because for whatever reason someone or somehow it got deleted. I used to be a regular at Bouldin and the service was always amazing but my last two visits have been by far horrible. The service has been so poor that I felt disgusted when leaving the restaurant. There are two girls that work there with light brown hair and blue eyes. Pretty sure one of their names is Rego. My boyfriend and I were served by her before and she seemed nothing but annoyed and couldn’t care less if we were in her section. Barley even interacted with us or asked how our meal was and just seemed disgusted by us, just being rude passive aggressive for no reason at all. I’m a server and I KNOW this isn’t how you treat your guests and the same thing happened tonight. She just seemed like she couldn’t care less if we were there and just seemed annoyed? I don’t mind paying the gratuity if I’m being treated decently but that wasn’t the case and I feel as though they feel like they think they can get away with behaving like mean girls just because there’s a gratuity. I have friends that dine here as well and they have had the same experience. I’m not one to write reviews but I feel this needs to come across a managers attention so they know who they are hiring and how they are treating customers. Really disgusted and disappointing and if this gets deleted again I’ll write another review or just call the store to speak to a manager. Disgusted by their behavior."
