"I visited this restaurant twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. The dinner was very good with a variety of entrees and sandwiches. The sandwiches were excellent, however, the brisket entrees were not as good as they were tough and had too much fat. During breakfast, I ordered a Belgian waffle with a side of bacon and a Clutch egg and cheese sandwich. The bacon side arrived a few minutes before the waffle, and the waffle was delivered five minutes before the Clutch sandwich. Unfortunately, the waffle was not hot and the butter on top did not melt. The Clutch sandwich was not great. I may consider returning for dinner in the future, but not for breakfast. It seemed like there may have been issues with staffing as I only saw a cook and a server. The dining room was very nice with tables and booths, and there was also outdoor seating available. I hope the restaurant succeeds, but there are definitely areas for improvement."

I appreciate this place being open early on 6/1 when so many other businesses are closed. The home made chips and cheese dip were DELICIOUS. The skillet was a miss, for me. Missing flavor. The BLT was pretty good. I'd go back and probably order an omelet but skillet is overhyped.

We were incredibly disappointed! Food tent at a venue. Very immature wait staff. The person who was serving actually stuck at her tongue at a customer. The cuban press was not worth the long wait. Only a tablespoon of bbq on the bread which was delicious. Based on this experience will not try again.

Got the Brisket Sandwhich with Pimento Cheese and can easily say it competes with fully dedicated BBQ joints. Brussel sprouts were also a great addition as a side and very crispy. jalapeño cheddar bun complimented the flavor of the barbecue sauce and the pimento cheese. The barbecue sauce was good enough to sell in its own bottle View menu

I was heading downtown to have breakfast at the market when I accidentally made a wrong turn and found myself in front of this restaurant. Taking it as a sign, we decided to go in and try their eggs Benedict. We ordered one with brisket and one with pulled pork, and they were both amazing. The service was quick, friendly, and very attentive, and the food was delicious. I would definitely come back again.

Arrived and it was busy. We did not have reservations, so probably good to make reservations. We waited about 30 minutes but the staff was very attentive and attempted to update us frequently. We ordered the pimento cheese dip for appetizer. The chips are home made and very good. Then for lunch we ordered the Roanoke Cheese steak, brisket and pimento sandwich and the freebird sandwich. The freebird sandwich was huge and very filling. The cheesesteak was a smaller sandwich but very tasty and filling. Servers were very friendly. Restaurant was very clean. This was my first visit to the restaurant. The wait was quite long. The Philly cheese steak was very tasty, but it was difficult to find the meat among all the bread. It was disappointing and overpriced. The Brussel sprouts were delicious but deep fried and swimming in grease on my wife's plate. It seems like the chef forgot to drain them. The pork was dry and the chips were somewhat stale with a lack of salt and taste. The best thing on the plate was the coleslaw. Our waitress was pleasant and offered us a 10% discount, but we do not plan on returning. I emailed the managers as requested to discuss further, but I never received a response. Disappointing. Simply Impressed! My group and I enjoyed a warm spring evening at Clutch and were thoroughly delighted. It’s located in a relatively dense Roanoke location so parking is a little bit of a challenge but we managed to get a street spot right out front.Interestingly enough, my architecture professor designed the whole renovation! The historical building is situated on a calm road. The interior is rich with contextual character and is pleasant to be in. Seemingly unnoticeable details are present throughout the dining area. The staff was great. Most importantly, the food was delicious! All the way around, our whole party was pleased. We all dined in for dinner and I was able to get a plate of smoke...

Where's the smoke? Clean, welcoming vibe when you arrive. Very modern. Very hipster. The woman who appears to run the place is straight out of Boot Camp. Very stressed, a bit short with words, not much bedside manner. She's likely a nice person, the only way you will know for sure is if you get past her brusque style and actually decide to stay. The presentation is as expected. Metal tray, paper liner, plenty of chips, and a great looking sandwich. Great looking, not great tasting. Hard to get any smoke flavor at all. The pulled pork sandwich was pulled pork, deep-fried. Super crispy with an interesting mouth feel. Tasted like deep fried pork, not smoked pork. Big fan of the slaw. Top notch....

"It seems that the choices and different dishes has drastically diminished since our last trip. This time, only three 'rice ' salads no tossed. There was a stack of dirty dishes at the beginning of the salad line, and after trying to remove a couple, I realized they all needed to be replaced. A young worker was watching, and apologized and offered to take away the entire stack however, I returned later, and the top one still had food from a prior diner. (I can 't believe someone could have removed this many from the dishwasher and not noticed it was very obvious). Every dish that should ahve been warm was not from soups to veggies to meat to bacon/sausage and waffles. I guess the little lites weren 't working under the serving dishes. It was not very busy, so these things were pretty inexcusable for such an expensive meal. It seems as the usual excuse keeps popping up: Covid. But I don 't buy that any more. We wanted to buy a $100 gift certificate for the Regency Room, and my husband went on Saturday (had to be purchased at front/check in counter) and there was only one worker, who said she 'd be busy for 30 minutes. So he left and we came for brunch the next day, to accomplish both errands. After brunch, we went to the check in counter were there were two clerks helping one customer each. After about 10 minutes, the party in front of us was finished so we stepped forward, and asked what we needed. Telling her that we wanted a $100 gift certificate for the Regency room, she said she had to finish up from the last party. After at least five minutes on the computer, she 'logged ' off, picked up her keys and walked away?! No explanation no mention of I 'll be back . Meanwhile, more people were in line behind me, and the other clerk was still working with the original party. So after at least another five minutes, I left. I think we won 't be giving any recommendations or gift certificates until service and quality improve."
