Excellent service with delicious chicken and waffles! The meal was quick, hearty, and the overall atmosphere was delightful!

This unassuming place has a big heart and serves generous portions that offer great value. We often come here for family breakfast gatherings. The "Southern Mess" along with their specialty pancakes and waffles are a must-try!

This was the worst burger I've ever eaten. It was excessively seasoned and overcooked, so it didn't taste anything like a burger. I managed to eat half of it, but couldn’t finish the rest. On the bright side, I didn't have to pay for it. View menu

We are in town for a conference and were looking for a local spot for breakfast. We’re so glad we chose this place! The staff was friendly and attentive. We both ordered chicken and waffles, which were freshly cooked and served quickly. I can't wait to return the next time I'm in DeLand.

The wait time for service was over half an hour. The person seated next to us, who was clearly a regular, received their food promptly. When I requested hot sauce, the waitress abruptly placed the bottle on the table. The white staff was inattentive and never offered us a refill or coffee. Food: 4/5.

Although it may not look like much from the outside, this local mini chain (with 3 or 4 locations) is definitely worth a visit for breakfast. I waited 15 minutes for my drink order and placed my food order, but after 20 more minutes, I still hadn't received my breakfast. It felt like we were stuck in the corner, completely forgotten. We ended up sitting there for a total of 35 minutes without any food, so we decided to leave feeling dissatisfied and went to IHOP instead. I really wish it was still Mr. Lucky's, even though the original sign is still hanging on the wall. At least our breakfast at IHOP was great!

The biscuits and bagels were burnt, they forgot the cheese on the eggs, and they ran out of straws and sweet tea. We waited 50 minutes for our food even though the restaurant was only half full. One of the servers had her braided hair dragging across my food as she reached over to place a plate down, and I even found a hair in my son's eggs. The potatoes were unseasoned, the sausages were undercooked, and the pancakes were gooey. I noticed the waitresses were even wearing house slippers. This was just the beginning of the issues we experienced. I've worked in several restaurants, and this was one of the worst experiences I've had. I would definitely not recommend this place.

My first and last visit to this restaurant was nothing short of dreadful. I ordered a BLT with fries, and the bacon was overcooked to the point of being inedible—more like roof shingles than food. The fries were undercooked and soggy. My son chose the Chicken and Waffles, but the batter on the chicken was so thick that it completely overshadowed the chicken itself, and the waffles were barely cooked. My daughter-in-law ordered breakfast with a side of pancakes, which cost $6.50 for two pancakes. She had to request the second pancake, and it took an additional ten minutes to arrive.
